I've been vaping for about 3 weeks now and getting a lil irritated with consistancy of my 801.Sometimes Atty's and some battery life ect,you know the story.

I've spent hours of research, and narrowed it down to the Janty stick and Prodigy.I'm not looking to fill the room with vaper just a good consistant hit and reliability. So should I go with the Janty stick or grow some balls and get the Prodigy?

On a side note,I'm not sure how long I can last with my currant equipment.I know prodigy will be about a 2 week wait and is about double in price. However if it a more reliable product then I can wait.

I don't own a mod, myself. This is only my personal choice. You're going to get dozens of opinions, and I don't think anyone on the Forum owns all of them, so it's only opinions. I *did* have the opportunity to try a Prodigy & SD. Maximum throat hits on both.

Since you're down to the Janty & Prodigy, listen to someone who has had both. You'll get a better review.

I have a Janty Stick. It's in my drawer and I'm back to 901's. As a matter of fact, I highly recommend the new manual 901's from Eastmall.net. But as far choosing between the two, wait for the Prodigy. Personally I'm gonna hold out for the mew MOD from Great Lakes Vapor.

Why is it in your drawer is it broke? Reliability is key on my purchase.

Throat hit is'nt so much,I want to feel it but not like I've been raped by it.This is what worries me a bit about 5v mods.

If you're 'satisfied' with your 801 - flave/vape when it's at its best
you might consider the Screwdriver.
My reason for 'stepping up' was that my DSE901 was 'hit and miss' with more miss unless plugged in to a USB passthrough.

Screwdriver is 3.7 v and produces good amt of vape while not 'burning' the flave with high power.
Batteries have excellent 6-8 hr life, cost about $2 each and recharge for a much longer lifespan than my 901's (went through 4 bats in 10 days)
Replacing attys only and the consistancy - makes it a great long term, reliable investment.

I almost grabbed a Prodigy - and discovered the atty death rate/too hot to deliver flaves fully would not have been to my liking.

You can order from Trog - don't have the link - but gooogle Screwdriver and you'll find it.
Also - it's much smaller (and sleek) than it looks. I like the shape as it's contours provide a secure hand hold.

SD uses the 901 atty and carts ... with a tiny mod that takes 5 seconds you can also use 510 carts for more juice. Not sure about the 801 carts as I've not seen/tried them.

I spent 3 weeks with just the 901's and still smoked 2-4 .... logs a day....
haven't had one since getting the Screwdriver.

Thanks for your input. Trogs site shows SD with classic atomizers,is this the same as 801's?

VaporRaven, consistency was and is just about the most important aspect of e-vaping to me. Of course I want the throat hit, vapor and taste, but even if I had all these and the consistency wasn't good, I wouldn't want it.

I've tried the 4081, 901, 510 and the Screwdriver. The Screwdriver came the closest, but still inconsistent. Then I got the Prodigy and I'm serious, every draw is consistent with the last. I'm very, very satisfied. And again, the consistency was and is so important to me.

Hope this helps!

Gonna toss in my .02, too.

I have the Prodigy, the Stick, the Kissbox, and had a Screwdriver (sold)

my #1 - the Stick. It has a lighter draw, but still produces good vapor, good flavor, and good hits - but not so insanely heavy that I'm knocked over. This is my go-to-first-thing-in-the-morning vape, and my pacifier in the evening vape. The ability to vape and charge at the same time is huge. It's also a compact unit, easily contained in the hand, easy to conceal if you need to. And, it's an adrorable little PV. It uses the the 801 attys, and has an adapter for the 901's.

The Kissbox is #2 - I was Kissbox exclusive until the Stick arrived - and it still has a place in my daily gear. It's the best of the classic penstyles as long as you have the manual switched version, IMO. It's my rock solid dependable gear - perfect if I have massive failures with the other 2.

The Screwdriver. This was my trouble unit - I owned it about a month, and in that time, had to send it back to Trog once, and it broke again once I got it back. Decided to sell it as a defective unit and get it out of my hair. when I used it (901 & 801 attys) it was a good unit, with solid throat hits. The 901 attys went through juice so fast, I couldn't keep it filled in the car, the 801's were better in the SD. There are many other people here who love their SD's, and I'll defer to their opinions in this, as I didn't have mine for very long, and it was a trouble unit.

The Prodigy. I have mixed feelings on the Prod right now. I've owned mine for a week. My biggest problem with it is it runs the attys so very hot, that I can only get 3-4 good draws off it before I have to put it down to let things cool down. IMO, I think it's simply TOO powerful...... It gets very solid throat and upper lung hits(on a 4mg liquid), but I can't use it the way I want to. Its also a massive juice hog. Someone with a shorter draw habit might have better luck, but I, right now, do not recommend it.

So, there's my recommendations, from highly recommended to not - Stick, KB, SD, Prod.

Thanks everyone for your opinions. I pulled the trigger and ordered a Janty Stick. I did this for two reasons 1.I can get it fast 2.Deasent price 3.its 3.7v unite 4.if I'm not satisfied I can get a SD or a prodigy or any of the other up and coming pv's.I'm sure this wont be last last purchase. Ok that was 4 reasons ;)

If anyone has anything else to add I'm listening.
