Who is Dexter???....Charlie I know....Ted, JW Gacy, Jeffery, Richard...Henry...I know them all...not Dexter???

Unlike your list, Dexter is fictional, a charactor on a showtime series about a serial killer who works for the Miami PD, played by Michael C Hall.

So far the teeth aren't large at all, but he is only 7 weeks old!

Well he has been here for 42 hours and is still alive.... so he is not that hard to keep. Heck we are now like old pros! J/K

I think the hardest thing about them is keeping their area to the correct temp, it doesn't make it easy being in Montana where we have negative 36 degree days for at least a week each year! We basically converted the walk in closet in my daughters room to a little hedgehog room, this way it will be easier and cheaper to keep at 80 degrees. They also need 12 hours of light. If they do not get that they think it is winter and they will hibernate. It seems if they hibernate in captivity they can die.

The cool thing is, he eats pretty much the same thing as my sons chameleon, worms, crickets etc, so we are set there. The only big difference in diet is the cat food the hedgie eats!

He is very cute. I am a dog person and usually do not go for other pets, so I did not think I would like him as much I do. I still have not ventured to pick him up.

The worst part about all this is I have so much money invested in these two new pets (both ended up being a bunch more then planned when setup was complete) that it is really making budgeting in 3 new Buzz Pro's (1 for me, 1 for the hubby and for my mom) difficult! But at least when the pro's get here they won't need heating, lighting, misting, insects etc. etc, just add batteries and liquid and they are good to go!

I remember snowmobiling to work in a -60 degree wind chill then I never did figure in the speed of the sled on the windchill. As soon as frostbite started setting in my face wasn't cold any more though. I loved living up there.

I believe that falls into the category of 'You don't know what you got until its gone' because once we start hitting those -25 days and I know it is only going to get colder by at least another 10 to 15 degrees I start dreaming of tropical islands and wondering why the heck I am here! That being said... I still do not miss the intense heat of south florida!

Well I have the opposite problem. I sit here and wonder why did I ever leave. I so wished I was still living over there

It will never happen, my husband won't to do it because of all the rain! There is pretty much as beautiful as here. From what I can see the only differeces are you get more rain, it is greener there and the weather is a little warmer. I like it because it is the best of both worlds with the ocean. I'd love to see wale migrating in my back yard and moose hanging out in my front!

LOL... When we went to seattle to pick up my TT we went to an awesome seafood restaurant that had an incredible raw oyster bar! I've eaten at a ton of nice places, usually if oysters are on the menu, it just says "raw oysters" at this place the oysters had a menu of their own with a hundred different varieties!

I like the rain! Then again I don't drive a Harley, but if I did have a moter cycle it would be Harley!
