Hey everyone,

My girlfriend stocked up on lorann flavor concentrates and every juice I've made has come out simply awful. I've read that most of their flavors are hyperconcentrated, making an ejuice calculator worthless. Have any of you input or first hand experiences with this stuff? They all seem to have a very similar, artificially sweet aftertaste. Bear in mind, also, that nothing has steeped yet.

Perhaps it's just not my kinda stuff.

Thanks in advance!

In my experience, with exception of Cheesecake, Cream Cheese Icing and Bavarian Cream, all of LorAnns flavors are exceptionally weak. I've used some up to 15-20% and still feel that something is missing, even with a single-flavor mix. Their Creme De Menthe is pretty strong, but that's to be expected with any mint, but that aside, their flavors are sometimes hard to work with.

The three non-mint flavors I mentioned above are pretty good and work really well at 10% or less (giving room for personal taste), though I'm just not a big fan of their flavoring in general beyond these.

If you want to go with something stronger, I'd suggest FlavourArt. You can pick them up at RTSVapes.com or ECigExpress.com. The vast majority of their flavorings are super-concentrated; I've yet to push over 10% with any of their flavors. They are a tad bit more expensive than most, at about $4-$5 for 10ml and up to $18-$20 for 120ml (better buy once you know you like a flavor), but they will LAST you :).

The only semi-weak flavors I've found are their Vanilla's. To me, everything they have is very strong, except those. I still use less than 10%, but it normally ranges between 7-10% instead of 2-5%.

My only reservation is that so manyx of the clone recipes I see use TFA. I'd love to clone some famous juices, and I want my flavor lot to be versatile in that regard. Thoughts?

I've found FlavourArt to be more "true" to the intended flavor than pretty much anyone else on the market, though there are some flavors that TFA carries and FA does not (Graham Cracker, as an example), so you have to trade off between the two to get the flavor(s) you need for your mix.

In most cases, you can swap FA for TFA flavoring, though the percentages normally drop. Where you may use 15% TFA Flavoring, you may only use 3-7% with FA. There are some FA flavors that 1-2% is all you need (their tobacco flavors are a prime example).

That all being said, it really depends on what recipe you're looking to take on. Anything specific? I'd be more than happy to compare with you and share my experience :).
