thanks for responses. here goes:

I'd been following Kate's recipe, though not 100% exactly. I vape constantly and wanted a 2mg formula. So what I did yesterday (when i got my lorann's in the mail) is dilute 1 drop of 36mg flavorless with 17 other drops of other stuff -- 2 drops flavoring, 2 drops water, 13 drops PG. I did this a few times with pineapple and twice with mango. It worked all last night, but i noticed that my m401 was slowly dying. This morning it was extremely difficult to get it going.

I tried pralines and cream today. My atomizer completely died. I had no idea what was going on, i tried everything from replacing batteries, replacing atomizers, etc, to no avail. It took me a while to realize it was the juice. Pralines and cream was instantly clogging whatever atomizer i was using. I tried diluting the hell out of it and it still kept clogging. And what i mean by clogging is that it would become much more difficult to pull and my battery(s) would not even light up.

So I did this trial. I'd rinse my atomizer (dip in warm water then blow the water out, at least 5x) and load up some 50% commercial 6mg and 50% pg mix i've been using for weeks. It worked perfectly. I'd rinse and then try the pralines and cream using the formulas i described in my first post. Almost instant clog. Rinse and try the commercial/PG mix -- works! Back to lorann's... clog. I tried this with pralines&cream and pineapple (which was working for me before!)

My conclusion from these trials is that at least pineapple and pralines&cream clog my atomizer. From the 1 or 2 half-drags i got of the pralines, it seemed to taste pretty good (much better than it smelled). I'm one sad panda. Who's got any advice for me?

Booty--I would still not blame it on the Lorann--Many are working here on atomizer failures and they die for many reasons--most being residue that we can not clean off the coil safely yet--but we are trying. What type of atomizer do you use? Thanks--Sun

oh and sun thanks i've been following the ventures in the use of phosphoric acid and h202 in the tips&tricks forums and i like your little summation there -- that none of the methods are yet deemed safe.

But i do wish to point out that it is most certainly not normal buildup that's the problem because as soon as i rinse my atty and switch to "normal" juice it works fine.

Ramblin -- Pralines & Cream gets rave reviews in the diy liquid forums. This singular flavor cannot be the problem.

Well whatever the case, thanks for your responses guys, your time is very much appreciated.

yes. I also have a dse 901 that i used with the lorann's a bit and it's been slowing down as well.

Booty --one of the experiments we are doing now is I vaped a new 801 atomizer with no flavor--straght VG and water and another friend did straight PG and water in a new 801--we are now going to take them apart and get a good look at that coil and see if there is any difference, not only between comparing to a new 801 that used Lorann, but also the difference between PG residue and VG residue---This should give us a good base line as to what, if any differences there are with residue and the use of PG, VG, PG with Flavor, and VG with flavor--I should have the results posted in a couple of days with photos of the coils---so we are working on it-----Sun

Thanks for the heads-up on Pinapple and on Pralines and Cream. (I might have a bottle of the second... think I'm move it to the pantry for cookie making) I did notice that Pralines and Cream is very dark. I'm a little leary of the any food flavorings that are not clear. When diluting a flavor with 1 drop of English Toffee (also dark colored) I did notice it was a little harder to draw from, but I had added my 1 drop to a cart and pushed the fluff up and down.

Botty--Correct--nothing safe yet--just experiments. When we find something easy, safe, proven, and readily available-- it will be the holy grail---till then only the brave soles at their own risk are experimenting.----Sun
