loranns creme de menthe, alcohol taste

I picked up a bottle of Loranns creme de menthe locally, since I ran out of my beloved peppermint, and my PA order hasn't arrived yet with my new flavorings. Anyway, I like strongly flavored mints, and I did a coouple ml of Creme de menthe with 10% to start. All I can say is UGGGG! It has an alcohol tinge, makes me want to puke. The flavor is not very strong though. I'm guessing there's nothing I can do to fix it??

I diluted it down more, and now the alcohol taste is gone, and it's vapeable, but it still doesn't taste as strongly as I would like. Is there anyway around that? Or is it just that all alcohol-extract flavors will leave an alcohol taste if you use too much?

I mixed the LorAnn creme de menthe with peppermint, about half and half, and it comes out tasting a lot like altoids. Haven't noticed any alcohol flavor with the mix, but I never tried the creme de menthe alone.
