injecting water....never thought of that...i will try that...it at least shoudl thin it...getting the tank off the ZAttyU is a pain...without over tightening the U onto whatever device i have it on...then it becomes just as hard to get the device off the Zatty U...which is a pain to say the least

It's not a perfect cleaning, but it does get the job done. I do it on mine all the time :)

This is for those of us that still have a hybrid-mini from POC. This is how I am able to get the performance I get from it. The Genisis is all about a strong connection and the level of enjoyment you get from it is going to be determined by how strong the connections are at all points. Every spot where there is a metal joint that carries electricity is going to be a critical point. Here we make sure that those connections are always solid.

Here are some more pics of the threaded rods and how they are setup. .The heatshrink tubing is just think enough to be snug in the machined holes in the top and bottom caps so it seals the juice tank perfectly. .I decided to change the color of my heatshrink to change it up. .It used to be clear, but now it's red :)

Here is the threaded rod, notice one is longer above and below the threads. .This is the lead that connects to the switch. .Also notice the 3 washers that go on before the first nut inside the switch housing. .This is to raise the switch to the right height.

Here is the switch. .No wires needed other than the loop to attach to the threaded rod and a small extension added to the center lead on the switch. .This center lead will contact the top of the battery directly or if you use the plastic cap with the copper button in the center it will contact that. .It is very important that you use something to prevent the wire loop or nuts from touching the center pole of the switch. .In my switch I use heat shrink to cover the whole lead then carefully cut off the heatshrink covering the center lead. .Electrical tape can be used, but it's not as easy to cut with a knife as the heatshrink is and it is more messy because of the glue.

Here is the finished switch housing. .You need to be careful that no part of the threaded rod extends past the nut holding the switch in place extends past the switch. .If it does, there will be a short because the threaded rod will touch the battery or the brass button and that is not good.

The materials used for this are heatshrink tubing, stainless M2 threaded rod and stainless M2 nuts, and m2 nylon washers as spacers. .It is not very difficult to do this mod to the Hybrid, but it does take patience because everything has to be just right inthe switch housing or there will be shorts. .Once it is all done though, you should never have any leaking issues again and ou will never loose the connection to the kanthal wires unless you take it apart since the kanthal is pinched between 2 nuts :)

The switch and nuts are not as pretty as they used to be since they have been in use for a long time now, but since they are stainless, they clean up nice and can be polished up back to shiny.. I was just too lazy to do this today :)

Here is what it looks like all together :)

Hi everyone! I have been working on a spreadsheet of links that I originally started compiling to help me locate important posts that I may want to refer to later. In the process, I began talking with Lorderos33. Long story short, since I was combing through some of the threads for information, and Lorderos was needing to pull his "How-To's" and "Tips & Tricks" into some kind of organized location...well, I just put it all on one convenient spreadsheet!

The site is still "Under Construction" (so to speak). There are, no doubt, important posts that I haven't included yet or am not aware of. And, there are also posts that will eventually be deleted. Lorderos will be reviewing the sheet periodically to make comments, corrections and clarifications. But, for now, I asked him if I could allow you folks to view it and offer any feedback or suggestions you may have.

Please don't let it intimidate you. When you go to the site below.....you will see a button to the top right corner that says "1 other viewer" (or 2, 3, etc). If you click on that...a chat column will appear to right. You can chat with each other or with me. And if you want, I will even meet you there for a quick "tutorial". If you sign in with a Google (gmail) or Facebook account, your actual account name should show up, otherwise, you will be "anonymous".

I would be grateful for any suggestions, ideas or feedback. These posts are 99% from our good friend, Lorderos33. All I've done is put them into groups and make them accessible (we thank you Lorderos :))

Let me know what you think folks! Here's the Link:

Thanks guys! I appreciate the positive feedback! Jager, when you go onto the site, there should be a blue button that says "Share"...and right beneath that, slightly to the left there is a gray button that will show how many viewers are in the room. It will either say "No other viewers" (if room is empty) or it will show how many viewers are present "1 other viewer", etc.

If you PM me tomorrow, we'll hook up and I'll see what the problem is....I so appreciate your browsing the site and offering suggestions :)

Thanks guys :) And, OB....I don't know what you mean? Anything to improve access would be appreciated! I have posted it in most of the threads that are addressed on the links...except for the HoH Zen Thread....because I wasn't sure if Zen would not want it there. It will be under construction for a while. I also have another links site newly created that I plan to use for Zen, and a third one for all others. Putting them on one document (for my personal use) was my ultimate goal.

lady,
we can change the first post here to link to the document you guys are working on if you would like.

let me know.

LOL Dawg! I chatted with him via email a couple of times yesterday. I think he's been real busy with something unrelated to the forums as of lately. But he does drop in and I'm sure he'll see your message. LOL

Jager....you were right. I just noticed that the "# of viewer" button wasn't there when I signed onto the site. My guess is, if there is no one in the room (or recently entered and left the room) the button doesn't show.

Now we know! Thanks for pointing that out :)

very cool Lady/...i dont see the "#" thing in the upper right though

I have been banging my head against the wall regularly, lol.

Honestly though, I've just busy with life things. I should be regularly visiting again soon, just have a few more things to work out to have everything back to normal.

Nothing bad so no worries, just been super busy.
