So, my company is restructuring and I am looking to make my own juice. I have looked everywhere on where to start and it all seems so complicated right now. Is there a one (or possible two) stop shop where I can buy Nicotine, VG, and some PG. 90 percent of the time I use high VG juices, so I could leave out the PG for now. I don't want to deal with a huge batch (100 mg/ml) of nicotine as I am fairly clumsily. I have access to syringes and a clean working space. I vape sweet bakery style juice most of the time. Like Custards and such. Please help! I have 2 weeks to get my crap in order and I would love to cut the cost of vaping with DIY. Thanks in advance!

Edit: I am extremely experienced in everything vaping related except DIY juice. I have bought enough Kanthal and wicking material, (not to mention Mods and other gear) to last a long time.

For a basic start it is quite simple. Get an unflavored base with the nicotine level you use. A 50/50 pg/vg is a good place to start straight VG is available. Then you can just add a flavor usually between 2-10 percent. Let it sit uncapped in a dark place for a few days. Vape away. With straight VG you may wish to add a few percent distilled or spring water to thin. You can find everything here including flavoring:

For all the DIY'ers out there, how did you start? And would you say it is pretty easy?

Very easy. I don't think some people realize that some of the vendors use ONE FLAVOR juices. I don't mind, when I buy juice I do so only for convenience. Others I buy because the juice is a complex recipe. But I would say 50% of juices I have purchased, well, they are really pretty simple to make.

Just start off making a few one flavor juices, and progress from there. you don't need a "laboratory" to mix up a bottle of juice.

NETs and tobaccos will be a bit harder, but mixing up something like sweet strawberry or banana bread is ridiculously easy.

Thanks everyone! Im not into tobacco flavors at all, and I usually only vape sweet bakery juices, with the occasional fruitish flavor throw in. Already purchased 36mg/ml nicotine base, with some PG, and a bunch of flavors to get me started. They are so dang cheap! No wonder a there is a new juice company starting up every other day. Thanks a bunches guys!

I started DIY by mixing the crappy one note juices I was buying at $6-7/10ml from my local tobacco shop (no B&M around). It didn't take me long to find the ECF, and Wizardlabs. I have tried other suppliers, but stayed with WL since it's pretty much one stop shopping (saves me in shipping), they have prices that for the most part can't be beat, and their customer service is awesome!

The best way to start is to start small with some flavors you like. Get familiar with them by themselves before mixing with others. This way you'll know what will taste good with what, and have a decent idea of what percentages to use. There are lists here with suggested percents, but everyone's tastes are different so they are just a good starting point. The list saved me a case of blown tastebuds when I made my first keoke coffee mix. Most juices can be started with around 5% but that stuff is crazy strong and I don't often use it much over 1%.

Just remember to have patience (giving juice time to steep is better than just adding more, after a point it's counteractive and you won't taste the flavor anymore) have fun with it, and read the DIY section often for tips. :)

Thank you to everyone who mentioned Wizardlabs. I was about to place another order from a different company, but Wizardlabs looks like what I need since I'm trying to come up with a specific flavor. Also, to the OP, I started making my own DIY just a couple months ago and it is incredibly easy as long as you make it that way. I have not gotten into any of the advanced things that some people mention such as using menthol crystals with everclear, etc. Good luck in your DIY ventures. It's actually a lot of fun!!

Additives aren't really that complicated if you know what each one does. They can really make a huge difference when used correctly. Sort of like seasonings/spices in cooking. You can make a sauce that tastes pretty good, but it could be much better if you add salt, pepper, and whatever seasonings work well to enhance the flavors in the sauce. ;)

Sorry to here about your employment situation. I know what it's like I've been there myself. Heres some recommended reading to get you started.

Read my blogs before getting started

E-Cigarette Forum - dannyv45 - Blogs

then read hoosier's blogs.

then read the stickies at the top of the page.

this will explain a lot of the how's and why's.

I agree. Almost all you need to know. I didn't have the links, but I was confident that Danny would come along and save the day sooner or later. ;)

Thanks a ton everyone! As for the job, Im a meat cutter in a supermarket in Florida. Been there 13 years. I could have stayed on part time but I am pursuing a B.A. in Biblical studies and I am about 60 percent there. Kinda weird to not have a job that I have been at so long. But I decided to just keep with college till May, then I can possibly find a part time job I like.

Really appreciate all the fast replies. Y'all rock. Im sure I will have more question once my shipment arrives.

Another quick question. When you guys and gals started DIY'ing, did you all shoot for just one flavor juices, or did some of y'all go with a few flavors. Like, I really like Vanilla custard and cheesecake type flavors - So I am shooting for a good cheesecake flavor. Like Key Lime Custard Cheesecake (not really, just an example) Just wondering about your beginnings of DIY recipes.

I started with a one flavor watermelon and then made my Pineapple Upside Down Cake ( which I've been advised tastes nothing like the real thing, but I'm keeping the name lol) which uses 3 flavors I believe. Then Confetti Cupcake which also takes 3 flavors. I'm planning on modifying these when I get more flavors in though.
