I have been doing alot of research on the ecigs and was just about to order Safe Cigs when I stumbled on this forum.
I've read quite a few postings and information and I'm more confused than ever now. I don't want to spend uneccessary money and go thru endless purchases to find out about the different models and such.
I've been reading that many of you use the Riva? I've not found a site where I can purchase one or get additional information on them.
Anyone care to help me out? If it helps I smoke Virginia Slim 120's. Looking for good batterly life and good vapor with good taste.
Any suggestions and possible sites where I can purchase?

I use vapinghq.com myself. I have a Joye 510, which is like the Riva. Models are mostly personal preference. Most of us started on a 510, Riva, eGo or DSE 901's that I've seen. With the Joye 510 being the go-to for most beginners.

You can find non-menthol tobacco flavors from many vendors like vapinghq, totally-wicked, and others. It's a matter of taste, but there's bound to be something similar... I personally like the "gourmet" flavors, even though I'm a 15 year menthol smoker, I'll take poundcake and Cherry Cola over any tobacco flavor personally.

For vapor, taste and battery, I recommend the 510 or even the eGo. Either one will run you about 40-60usd (depending on store).

Hi Shining. Glad you joined the forum. Welcome.
As far as what model to purchase? You'll get as many answers from other members as there are the number of choices of e-gigs.
IMHO, since you smoke VS 120's, I might think you would want a personal vaporizer that more resembles the analog you currently smoke. If that's the case, I would recommend a kr808D-1 or a Joye 510.
If you don't mind having a device that doesn't resemble an analog so much, then a larger battery model such as an Ego, Riva, or Elegant easy might be the right choice. These have a longer battery life.
You'll get some replies to your post. Read them, check out the ECF Library, and look on YouTube for "E-Cig" videos.
If vaping works out for you, chances are you'll probably want to buy an additional e-cig after you've had some time to experiment and evolve in your new vapor endeavor.
Best Regards!

Hi, Shining! Welcome to ECF!

Liberty-Flights.com has really good prices on the Riva and their shipping costs are low, too. When you go to the web site click on the US link at the top of the page. You'll also find a Discount Code link at the top that will give you a 20% discount. I would also suggest that you buy at least two extra attys and you'll need juice to fill your cartridges. I usually get my juice from VaporBomb, but other ECF members will post their favorites, too! You'll have quite a few to choose from, so don't get trigger happy just yet!

ok, I looked on one of the suggested sites and from what I am reading, the cartridges are good for the equivalent of 3-5 cigs? With the Safe Cig it says one cartridge lasts up to the equivalent of 2 packs. Am I missing something? That seems like a huge difference. Sorry this is all new to me

Yeah the thing you are missing is that Safe Cig lies. There are some very unscrupulous companies out there. That's what is nice about this forum, the companies that are recommended are reliable honest companies.

Hi and welcome!

Don't buy anything "named" unless you know what it's real model number/name is and whether it's a good model. There is a whole upper crust of e-cig vendors that stick their own name on the ecigs, sometimes with modified carts that are harder for users to refill, sometimes charging ridiculous prices for spare parts, etc. Then to steer people to them there is a whole fairly fake layer of testimonials and reviews of those "Name" brands which is just BS. In addition, some of them lie about how long carts and battery charges last etc.

There are also some good reputable rebranders who only charge a slight premium for a fancier look for good models (like Vapor4Life which sells their version of the KR808D-1). And there are the basic underlying models, most of which are available for very reasonable prices at a number of multi-brand vendors.

I recommend you check the sticky threads at the top of New Members - the newbie videos, and the thread with Library in its title which will lead to a multipart illustrated guide. And avoid super-minis unless you are an ultralights smoker with patience for tiny annoying carts and short-charge-life batteries.

So with this Riva510, I am going to have to constantly refill something? The problem is I drive all day on my job and that might be difficult for me, resulting in resorting back to regular cigs which is what I'm trying to avoid. I guess what's confusing might be all the different components that are associated with this. I want this to be as easy as possible so I don't backslide once I get started.
