Hello again everyone and welcome back for todays review that was provided to me from Sourcemore.com - E-cigarette, Electronic Cigarette Online who also provided a very nice discount coupon you can use that brings the price down to $26.99, discount code is LVG. Make sure that you sign in first. If some of you aren't familiar with the Grus it's a single battery device that accepts a 21700, 20770 or a 18650 using a adapter to fit the smaller 18650. The Grus is rated to be used at between 5-100w and has a very generous top cap that will accept up to a 30mm tank. The Grus has a very classy appearance and comes in a nice selection of finishes as well as color choices also, so before I get ahead of myself lets see what the Grus is all about with some helpful information and then I'll give my review.

The Grus is packaged as most devices are with a outer sleeve showing the model that you selected, inside the sleeve is the box holding the Grus that sits in a form fitted foam cutout with your warranty card and user manual underneath. The Grus is a single battery device that can use a 21700, 20700 or a 18650 battery with a 18650 battery adapter that is provided and is shipped along with the charging cable sitting inside the battery tube .
The battery is inserted into the device positive side first from the bottom of the device which uses a twist off battery cap style that is used in many devices, simply lift up the latch and twist off the battery cap that has 3 holes for venting.
Polarity is marked inside the battery tube showing a positive + sign engraved on the positive battery pin, though I would have preferred a red marking + sign making it easier to identify. There is no negative indicator on the battery cap and there should be one in my opinion.
The Grus has a very generous 510 topper that will accept up to a 30mm tank without any overhang and is held in place with 2 screws that sit across from each other.
I said the Grus was a very attractive device no matter what finish or color choice you get
and the review model I was sent is absolutely gorgeous. The side panels are where the colors are and in my case SS/JUNGLE . The top has GRUS branded on one side and LOST VAPE branded on the other which is not overdone and looks fine. As I said earlier the Grus will accommodate up to a 30mm tank but unfortunately I do not own one so it was off to find a nice match from my many tanks and came across a old favorite I had forgotten about.
I told you it was beautiful, on the other side of the device behind the display screen is a plain satin SS finish. The display screen is a nice size coming in at 0.96 inches and is surrounded with a black color internal bezel that highlights it. Lost Vape gives you six different color choices to use on the display screen and they are white, red, green, yellow, blue and purple. Above the display screen is your power button with your adjustment buttons being below it and below them is your Type-C charge port. The Grus uses 3 adjustment buttons with the top being +, menu button in the center and the - button is below it. The display screen shows the battery level in the upper left with your ohm load next to it, below both of them is your selected power mode and below it in the bottom left is your seconds counter with the puff counter across in the bottom right portion of the screen. At the very bottom of the display screen sits your color choices.
The Grus is no lightweight by any means but not so heavy as to be uncomfortable to take away from the desk. The Grus is made from Zinc Alloy making it weighty but solidly built with no rattle period with any of the 3 battery choices that can be used in it. Ergonomically the Grus fits fine for either trigger finger or thumb fire. There are no sharp corners on the Grus with all being rounded adding to it's comfort. This is not just a wattage only device, you have your choice of Power mode, Voltage mode, NI mode, TI mode or SS316 but no TCR mode or wattage adjustment while in any of the Temperature modes The menu consist of locking wattage adjustment buttons while still being able to vape, clearing the puff counter, selecting your choice of power mode and selecting your choice of color for the display screen.
MENU
* Turning the device on or off is done with 5 quick presses of the power button
* Locking wattage controls and unlocking is done by holding down the plus and center buttons simultaneously
* Finding power modes is done by 1 quick press of the menu button that will highlight your power selection then press the + button to find your choice of power mode when found tap the power button to keep you there
* To change your color display hold the menu button down for 3 seconds
* To clear the puff counter press and hold the menu and - button simultaneously
I really must reiterate just how attractive the Grus is and just how comfortable it is the use with a super easy menu system, 21700, 30mm tank topper, I really love it everyone.
FINAL THOUGHTS
Well folks as you can probably tell I really like the Grus an awful lot because of the workmanship that really shows when it is put in your hand and the attractiveness in my opinion is off the charts good. In the couple of weeks of heavy use I've never had a single problem arise using the Grus, it fires pretty quickly and reads ohms accurately. I think having 6 color choices for your display screen was a nice bonus the Lost Vape put in the Grus along with making the menu so simple and easy to operate and remember.
With all it's curves and smoothness throughout the entire device any way you chose to fire it is comfortable, even the way they made the 510 portion able to accept a 30mm tank but still stay in the realm of fitting the mod without it looking out of place like a big knob on top shows the engineering that took place in the development of the Grus.
With the materials being of Zinc Alloy you are going to have a bit of heft with the Grus with in no anything on it feeling cheaply made or cheap of any kind. If asked would I recommend it to anyone the answer is absolutely YES .
The only things that could be improved is a positive red polarity sticker inside the tube making it easier to see, and a negative symbol etched on the battery cap cover. I am a wattage only vaper so temp control is something I don't use but for the people that do having a wattage adjustment in temperature control vaping would make them happier Im sure.
The satin SS finish on the model I received get a lot of comments of WOW that is a sharp mod and I have to agree with those comments whole heartedly.
So in closing I will recommend the Grus to anyone that can handle a device with a little heft, great looks, great workmanship and a joy to use that's been flawless in it's performance.
I would like to thank Lilia and Sourcemore for providing the Grus by Lost Vape for review and don't forget to first sign in at Sourcemore and use the coupon code LVG for a price of $26.99 Lost Vape Grus Mod 100W TC Box Mod.
