After a month of using stardust and ce2, I re-stock a pack of single coil carto to use with my DCT. I make two holes and got very nice vaping with my PVs. However, after two weeks of usage the performance drop abit, so I took another new carto and tried with one hole. After a few drags, I got a dry hits and went to make another hole but suddenly the flavor got lost even though the vapor production is great. What went wrong? Please help...

So, from what I understand here, you got a few dry hits then extracted the carto and punched another hole, right? Here's the deal... Once the carto's coil/diaper burn, that burn will be on the coil forever. There's not really a way to wash it or clean it off. You can do that with attys, rebuildables and to a certain extent, the clearo's...but nothing that has filler in it.

If you've seen a rebuildable taken apart, or if you've pulled apart a carto, you'll see all the gunk from the liquid that doesn't vaporize on it. It looks sort of dark and gooey, but it's not, it flakes off.

Back when I used my DCT all the time, I would toss the carto once I got a dry hit or it flooded really bad. I tried recovering them, but the flavor never really came back, or they continued to flood horribly.

Also, make sure that you're filling the carto before you put it into the DCT. It helps a lot with avoiding those dry hits, and giving the liquid something to start with. It's easier for it to get through the hole and to the coil if there's already a path made for it.

Best of luck!
