I got into trouble in the Smokies once. On a company trip, a bunch of us decided to caravan to Asheville, NC. Spent the night in Nashville, and met everyone for breakfast. 4 vehicles involved......anyway, I told them hubs and I were not going to stay on the interstate, we were going to go thru the Smokey Mtn. Nat'l Park. And I said....you all do not have to follow us, so go however you want. Well, they followed us, and we got stuck in traffic at Dollywood, right outside of the park entrance. Crawled for over an hour, then got into the park....the speed limit was 30 m.p.h. the whole way. We did not get to Asheville until after dark....we missed the company cocktail hour and the company dinner. They were all mad at me.

That's not Trouble. I was ready for a juicy story.

Well, how about if I told you that one of the caravan people was hubs' boss....and he was the maddest! I am serious....his face was purple when we got to the resort in Asheville. Hubs and I kept a low profile on that trip....when we spotted his boss, we turned and went the other way. Not juicy....but still a funny memory of us turning down hall ways and getting lost in the massive resort, trying to avoid him so he would not kill me. He knew whose idea it was to get off the interstate.

VG.....when I send you some more coil heads....do you also want the used ones that are not ribbon? Can you switch them also? Or should I just throw them away? Ribbon coils are the only ones I want to use.

Yes! Save and send them all. They are all the same except for the wire used, so I can rebuild them all with Ribbon Wire. :thumb:

Once I have some of your used Heads with Ribbon, I'll examine the Silica used and the size of the Ribbon used. Then I'll determine if the procedure I used on my Davide Tank (which is basically the exact same Head except for the white o-ring I told you about) will work for your ARO Heads. We have 2.5mm Silica and I have 0.5x0.1 Ribbon Wire. If they are using 0.4x0.1 Ribbon Wire, we may need to get some. They may be using a different size of Silica, too, so that would effect the size of Kanthal Ribbon. But we'll take that as it comes.

10-4 Good Buddy. :D

I read so many good reviews on NiteLite Vapor's "Gold" juice and "Bounty Hunter" juice that I ordered some today. Both are strongly recommended by posters who have been around ECF for a long time, so I am going to trust their opinions. We shall see.

Well, guess I will say good night, and mosey off to bed.

See you tomorrow.:wub::wub::wub::wub: Have a good night. :)

Good, Glam. The contractor gods have done a 180 and are smiling on me now. I've got to replace 9 of the large arborvitae (thanks to last winter).... first phone call made today, everything is set up and ready to go on the 19th. Plants coming from the very best place for trees/large shrubs. I'm pleasantly stunned, especially for peak season.

Bought a cool outdoor wireless speaker at Aldi today. Works great - sat out on the deck with hubs listening to music with adult beverage I call a "lava lamp" - stuff I had around; layers kind of do that thick wave thing.

So, nice day/evening. :)

-and hi there, VG! I cannot keep up with all your tinkering!

Have you tried Boba's Bounty? I think I have the spelling right.

Are the contractors paying to replace your plants?

EDIT:

Oh, due to the Winter.

Good deal, Lisa. Sorry to hear about your Arbor Vitae.....mine made it, but one has a huge area of winter burn in it. But several perennials did not make it....lost both my Heath plants, and my big orange Mum that was beautiful last year. What a winter!

Am happy you found replacements....I love Arbor Vitae. Mine are the Emerald Green species and are such beautiful trees.
