I did not know black bears attacked unless it was female with cubs....we were told in Alaska that they are very timid and avoid people as much as possible. That we were in no danger as long as there were no cubs. Sounds like the guys came across a sick one or a rabid one or really scared.

Maybe spook the bear. heard you were suppose to make noise so they know your around. Yes that is my full knowledge of bears.

I've been dealing with a plumber tonight. Every line stopped up. Sewage backed up into my tub. Next week we are having a guy come out that jet blows the pipes. I had to wait 7 hours to go to the bathroom!

Do you flush your litter down the toilet. When I stopped doing that, I stopped having so much of a problem.

I would imagine that is right most of the time. We've had a few people killed in the smokies - just down by the water painting, fishing, etc.

And then you have the crazies who deliberately harass the bears into chasing them. That would be my family.

No. I don't even clean out my hair brush into the toilet. I never put anything down it other than tp. Just old lines I guess.

We buy it in the winter and no we don't have any cats.

I've only eaten wild hog and deer. I had heard bear is very greasy. Is it gamey as well?
