Y'all have been in my thoughts, I say that honestly. How I have been absent for six months wows me as well.
My faithful feline familiar was diagnosed with labs that indicate kidney issues. I willfully reject the words "kidney failure" as I firmly believe we will both survive and thrive for many years to come. He is my four legged best friend once skin and bones (from being cast out and abandoned by some idiot humans) but now is huge from much love and care. I have been struggling (but succeeding) giving him subcutaneous injections with little to no distress (on his part) in the process. Still makes me freak out a wee bit each injection as I am so worried it might hurt. He's a brave, noble little mountain lion.Very special cat.He, having struggled so much and then this..We're going to make it, though.
Remember "Neo" in The Matrix when he was learning all those skills via direct download? That's how I have been with the net and information gathering about feline renal function.
So, I have been having schedules that vary but I might pop in during the day and say hi. So many times I think about logging in at night then I realize a lot of y'all are 2 or 3 hours ahead time zone wise.
I miss you all, hope you are all happy most of the time, hope I see ya in the near future

Good morning, Beachers.....I miss Dale's good morning posts.
She always cheers me, even if I do not need cheering. But at least the chalk board is clean. Scott....how good to see you again!! And of course, I am sending hugs for what you and your fur friend are going through. Been there....not with kidney problems, but with diabetes, having to give shots twice daily for 7 years. And yes, the internet turns into our best friend during these kinds of times. Kitties are brave little animals. Hope you find information that benefits your sweet companion.
I had 10 hours sleep yesterday/last night....and feel like I could go right back to bed. Must be a getting old thing.

Easter was ok I guess. Worse thing is we do all of the April B'days and there are eight! I had to pick out eight cards! Practically had to get a loan from the bank!
I told my sister that next year...I'm just gonna hand everyone two dollars. I figure A. I won't have to spend all that time looking for cards and B. Who wouldn't like $2 and C. I can cut my cost by at least a third. ...We ate, watched the kids hunt for eggs and told the same old stories. Same chit different Easter.

I love it! I have gone to my sister's here in the past for Easter to help load the plastic eggs and hide them, then help the kids find them, but it was pouring, so I didn't go.
