Yes, they are awesome. Is the American Bald eagle still in danger of extinction?? I know it used to be, but haven't heard lately whether their population is building back up or not.

We have turkey vultures in our neighborhood :D Those are some ugly birds!

No, they are not extinct any longer. And we have turkey vultures too.....yes, they are ugly and scary looking.

If he thought it was good for him, he'd eat it :glare:

A woman he works with has been on a diet because her BP is high (and she is overweight). She said her nutritionist told her to never eat turkey  She said eating turkey will slow your metabolism. Never heard of that!

I guess it makes sense. That's prolly why everyone takes a nap at Thanksgiving and Christmas.

Speaking of scary birds…. we have a lot of geese in our neighborhood because there are several lakes. I was walking the other day and there were two geese right beside the road, within a couple of feet of me. Believe me, I kept my eye on them! They will attack! One evening hubs was driving home and a family of geese were crossing the road. He slowed way down and was barely inching forward. The male (I presume) started attacking his car!

Me neither.....usually turkey white meat is on every diet....but I do know there is a lot of sodium added to the chicken and turkey we buy. I have had chicken that does not have any additives......and it is not very good. I guess I like that saline solution they shoot into the meat.

I like turkey cooked just as. I do like put stuff on the chicken.

I don't like deli or package turkey. I like cooking it and freezing for later.

Hubs has started buying the rotisserie chickens instead of baking/broiling his own. Saves him time and effort, and is not much more expensive. Plus, there are two legs for our son (who can clean a chicken leg down to the bone!).

Yeah....it probably has nothing to do with the mound of mashed potatoes, the gravy, the stuffing and the pumpkin pie.

Who? Me?

I'm not much of a cook, so I get packaged. I do good toasting the bread.
