I wonder if Tink is thinking about me, or if she's still stuck on that air conditioner?:D

Oh, Yes, Pepper! I thought of you all evening and the friends we had over kept asking why I was so distracted

Speaking of corn on the cob…. I had that as a side with the tacos tonight. I made it in a way I have never tried. It turned out great!!

Three easy steps
Microwave 8 minutes (for two ears of corn) – seriously no peeling! Husk, silk, and all!
Cut off the end at the widest point – usually about 1/2 and inch from the bottom
Squeeze the corn out of the husk. If you cut enough off this should be a piece of cake!

From this website if you want pictures or more details :D (No-peel, Microwave, Corn on the Cob! AKA: the best trick ever! | Exploring Domesticity)

If you are making more than two ears at once, microwave 4 minutes for each ear (ie, I microwaved 4 ears for 16 min).

I added some salt, PEPPER, and butter and it was delish!

I'm here. Just happened to meet up with niece on the way so finished the ride with her. Got here and sister was exhausted and trying to sleep. No drink or food in house hardly so stole her keys and went to grocery. Have breakfast and lunch in here now. Poor souls, she and birthday brother had to go to the crematorium to finalize things. I know they are so worn out. I restlessly slept an hour but can't seem to get more right now. Getting ready to backread.

Sun glad you made it there safely and nice you ran in a niece on your way. Take it easy (and that is for everyone) because the next few days will be stressful, and hopefully, filled with some great memories.

Today I start a detailed cleaning of the house. Fun fun. DD is coming and that means a lot of people running in and out. Don't want them to think I'm a slob. :D

Afternoon beachmates :D I just woke up! :?:

Not much planned for today. I do have a small project DH and I are going to work on. My grandfather made several windmills out of old bicycle tires and I have one of them. I need to find some way to mount it and put it in my yard.

Sun, glad things are peaceful for you! Thinking of you, girl! (((hugs)))

    Hello, Beachers.

Well, did not win at the casino....between us hubs and I lost $90....but for that we got free concert tickets, free steak n shrimp dinners, and a free suite at the casino hotel and 7 hours gambling time. Not a bad trip. The concert was really good....I had forgotten how many great songs this band has....Cool Change is one of the best! Lots of people dancing in the aisles....psyched up by the great music.

Back reading done....happy to see Sun made it safely, sorry to read about Tink's air conditioner, happy jj's daughter is coming home...that is always a pleasure. And am especially glad VG has his Christmas list going already... And Dale's work is slow....which has its good points and bad points....the good one being she will be at the beach posting.

My daughter and family are coming home for 3 days next weekend, and eventually I will have to clean also, so I hear you, jj.

Now, I have to research and find a good auto brakes mechanic....I do not want to get into the rotors...my brakes are squealing so I do not care what the garage said, I am going to have them replaced...I am thinking they wanted me to wait so the bill would be gigantic.

    Happy Saturday to everyone.

Good morning, Dale. I checked the price online....the brake pads themselves run about $200 for my car for both axles....they want $700 for a couple of hours work!! They must think I was born stupid.
Now that sounds more like it!! :?:

    found you my friends :D
    congratulation on the beach 8
