Good morning Tink :)

Hope you have a great day today!

I hope it gets better

Took one cat and one dog to vet. Both had 'lumps' that I wanted checked out. Plus, the dog has yet another ear infection and that callused area under his chin.

Thankfully, the lump on the cat's back was a keratinous cyst, likely from an infected hair. The lump on the dog's belly was a ping-pong-sized lump of fat :D They washed out his ears and gave him two injections (antibiotics and anti-inflammatory). Sent me home w/ antibiotics and ear ointment.

Wrestling an 18-pound cat into a carrier…. dangerous
Listening to her caterwaul the entire way to the vet…. stressful
Getting a $578 vet bill…. painful

Pet ownership….. priceless damned expensive!!!

Heading out into the boonies. If I don't come back you know the inbreds got us. Yes, the song from Deliverance is most appropriate for where we are going in a few minutes. No one with sense goes there unless in a pack of people. Now, how to fit 13 people in 2 suv's...

Hello, Beach Babes and Buddies. :)

Good Morning Beach. My daddy's service was beautiful. I had you listed on a piece of paper and I held you in my hand the entire service. I kept it together pretty well until my nephew got up to speak. I didn't know he was going to speak. He told the story of how he used to go with my dad and brother out to eat dinner. After dinner daddy would say, it's time for all WWII vets to go home. Then my brother would say, it's time for all Vietnam vets to go home. My nephew would finish with, it's time for all Afghanistan vets to go do the dishes. After a moment of silence he ended with, it's time for all World War II vets to go home now. After I managed to get it back together the rest of the service went uneventfully, even through taps. At the end of the service the minister went to lead us out. Both brothers and wives were in front of me when I saw sil suddenly slide into a pew. I thought she was faint and stopped to help but no, her pants had fallen down around her ankles while walking down the aisle!! Oh bahahaha - it was all I could do to run to the hallway before I erupted in howls of loud laughter. Oh, poor sil. Even the young minister couldn't keep a grin off his face. I felt bad for laughing but told her no one would remember my outburst after her show! The church is feeding us breakfast and then we will bury part of daddy's ashes. A small bag will be sprinkled on my stepmother's grave and then we might hike today up into the ridges of TN to sprinkle the rest under the holly tree where my mother's ashes were spread back in 1985. It has been many years since I was last there, but even ten years later I could find little bits of coagulated ash under the tree and see a Christmas ornament way up high that my brother had placed there one Christmas.

Now, I have written a book. I felt the need to unload my mind this morning. There will be a quiz when I get home.

Thank you for being there with me last night and today.

    Hello, My Dear Heart.

Glad all went well at the funeral and that there was even a good laugh for you at the end.

    Thinking of you today . . .
