Good Morning, Beachers.

2732.gif

We got 2.2 inches of rain sometime in the middle of the night. And I slept right through it! 8-o But was really happy to see that rain gauge this morning. Areas south of here got 5 inches....some Chicago burbs also got 3 and 4 inches with flooding being the main news story there this morning. We needed it badly, but they did not.

Happy Sun is looking forward to getting some sleep this weekend.

We have a wedding rehearsal dinner tonight. Hubs is doing the cooking....we are not part of the wedding party, we are just the caterers. And then the wedding is tomorrow afternoon....her sister is the one who got married in the newly constructed machine shed last year, but this one is in a church. Hopefully air conditioned since it is supposed to be in the 90s.

Happy Friday!!!!

Good Morning, Glam.

I hope you and DH enjoy the wedding. They must be good friends for you to do all of this. I'll expect the same treatment when I come up there.

Hey, Dale....I was looking at the August drought map of the U.S.....and your area was one of the greenest ones on the map....green meaning lots of rain for the year.

Yes....eating well, but it will be hot for hubs frying fish in their garage while they are at the rehearsal. :( And he has already told me he would like me to help him. Hope they are prepared for a little sweat in the deep fryer.

I'll bet my area shows up as much rain, too. It's been raining nearly every day. Glad you finally got some... rain that is. :D

Since the afternoon thing started getting busy, I'm glad glad glad even though I got stuff I should do.

Glam flies in the freeze mean a little extra protein so sweat might just add a little taste. I know bad bad bad.

Good Morning, JJ.

Finally! Someone else gets a Facepalm.

Yah VG!!! You gonna make it VV? That would be cool!

Time for brunch so will CULz

Will leave you this. :)

I love that statement! That's the only way to be.

Yes, I intend to make it VV, even though she only wants 5V. There will be a little variable resistor inside to set it, and she can leave it on 5V if she wants, or make adjustments. She is used to 5V Box mods with a 3 Amp limit, but the chip I'll use is made in versions of 3A 15W, 6A 30W, and 10A 50W. The 6A would be more than enough for her, but I quoted the 3A because she normally vapes at 8.33W. I'd like to have a 10A version for dual coils.

Good going VG

If it works out she can always put a wrap or decal's on it :)

That, or another fingernail polish job.

Hey, there's a ton of things one can do with SS :)

SS? Stainless Steel? This is an Aluminum Box. The Silver one is (I think) a Natural Aluminum finish, and the Black one is an Anodized Powder Coating. They might both be Anodized. And as far as a J-Wrap goes, I doubt anyone has ever used this box for a Mod before. If it were me, I'd leave it all Black, like the plastic box, but I'd understand if she wanted to "Girly" it up.

There'll be some shiny on it, too. The 510 will be from FatDaddy's, and it's Flush.

The outer ring (shown on top) is an add-on. Without that, it's 15.5mm. I'm using this for several reasons; the quality, no through hole on the (+) pin, the (+) pin is spring loaded for easy contact, and it has a locking nut and ground tab. This way, I can ground it easily to the tab, and I don't have to tap threads and screw it in; I can line up the air slots perfectly and lock it in place with the nut.

The Vape Switch will be something like this one . . .

Shiny! :D

Of course, I'll pass this by Sun first. If she wants a black Vape Switch, I can do that, too.

It's going to need a 10 Amp Rocker Switch for Master On/Off, but that may be black. I haven't decided yet.

Oh yeah, there will be Safety features, too. The 5V Box Mods in a plastic 3X AA box don't have much, if any at all. This one will have Reverse Battery Protection, it will be Fused, and maybe also have a Red Flashing LED to indicate if the batteries have been put in Reversed. That LED isn't necessary with the other protection, which will prevent Reversed batteries from creating a problem (no Current flow), so it depends on how much room I have inside. It's already going to be a pretty tight fit getting everything in there. The 2X 14500 Battery Holder takes up a lot of room by itself (most of it), and so will the 510, the Chip and its necessary electronics, the two Switches, and the P-FET for Reverse Battery Protection. The Fuses are very small, and I'd love to include them, but that will depend on room as well. They are kind of Overkill protection, considering everything else that it will have. Now if this were a 10A 50W Chip, then hell yeah!

I am so happy you are using my advice on this, VG. Sounds like it will turn out exactly like the ones I have built.

 I see that. I don't build mods. I...I have occasionally purchased them. Like the HOG. But I don't build them. Course...I don't grow a vegetable garden either.

    Like this one?

    HOG37VBoxMod.jpg

    Or like this?

    HOGOKRBoxMod.jpg

See that Chip in there. This is what I'm going to use. The first one is a straight battery 3.7V Mod.
