Love my Kgo but would a Ego Twist give more throat hit?

I have both, and the difference isn't that big a deal, since I rarely dial the Twist up past about 4V with a 2 ohm cartomizer. If you're curious, a 650mah Twist isn't very expensive and will charge on the same charger you are using for your KGO, so give it a try.

Hi Rick - I was just going to ask the opposite - I have all joyetech egos, including the Twist 1000 - I haven't turned it over the 4. mark as I was told I'd short live the battery & yet the charge doesn't seem to hold very long; I also rotate it w/several others. Would the KGO give me more time & more power?

I haven't seen the results of anyone testing the Twist for voltage accuracy under load, so I'm not sure whether we can assume the low-tech twist dial indicator is accurate. It SEEMS to be to me, in the narrow range I use it regularly, which is 3.6 - 4.2v. I can't answer your question except anecdotally based on my experience. I vape the KGO and the twist side-by-side all day, and as best I can tell use them about equally. The 1100 mah KGO battery seems to last more than twice as long as the 650 mah Twist battery I have, so in terms of more time, I'd be tempted to say yes. This may be a function of the relative quality of the batteries in the units.

More power is a different question. That depends on the setting you have the Twist at. Once again, assuming the voltage setting is accurate on the Twist it can either provide you more wattage than the KGO or less depending on where you set it.

How's that for guesswork and lack of precision? Hopefully someone who has invetigated this in a more technical way will weigh in!

I appreciate the answer....What I'm getting from it is that it's a toss up. My first twist died in a couple of days - never even had the opportunity to crank it up - hope the replacement holds up better. I've seen thru the grapevine here on ECF that they had problems w/the twist in the stainless ones - I've got the black & am keeping my fingers crossed. Thanks for the reply.

You can charge a ego twist on a kgo charger because the twist does not use pulse with modulation as the standard ego batts do. And this is because of the buck boost tech for the vv. As far a comparing a 1100mah kgo with a 650mah ego twist on how long they last is not accurate because of the difference in mah of the two different units. And the fact you can crank the twist voltage up you are going to drain it faster. If you want a comparison get a 1000mah twist and vape them side by side

Yeah, I probably wasn't clear when I answered. A 650mah Twist at 3.7v should last a little more than half as long as an 1100mah KGO, assuming you're using the same resistance head on it, and assuming they are being vaped equally heavily. It seems to me that I go through more like 3 charges on the Twist to 1 on the KGO. Again...not scientific, just "seems to me".

Rick - I have the 1000mah Twist so the question is would I notice a sizable difference between that & the KGO? I'm sorry if I didn't phrase my question the right way...you know...a bunch of yak-yak-yak. Thanks for your time & your "seems to me" really means a lot to me. Thanks again.
