Running my Provari with an 18650. Now I think I need a back-up APV, but hoping to save a little $. Is there another APV similar to the Provari that maybe doesn't have all the bells n whistles, but runs on a single 18650? Of course I'm looking for something a bit less expensive, otherwise I'd just get another Provari.

I went the Provari mini route as a backup device, but since you're looking to save some money, have you perhaps considered the Vmax? Yes, the settings are a bit off but you should be able to "work" it.

If you remove the "money" issue, I would still recommend you get a Provari Mini as a backup.

I too am guilty of jumping in for a 2nd ProVari (I got spoiled). Unfortunately my wife stole it, so now I'm back to a LT as my backup. There may be a 3rd ProVari in my future, if funds allow for it. I wasn't thrilled with the LT, but many people are so take that for what it's worth (not much, from a spoiled ProVari brat).

I've heard very good things about the VMAX, and many people are raving about both the V8 and Ego Twist, both of which are quite reasonably priced (in my opinion).

I loved my Ego Twists, and they were my backup vv devices, til my husband quit smoking and now he has claimed both of them. He's kind of hard on them though, and I'm wondering if they will survive the rest of the summer. I may end up getting 2 of the new LT's. I'm convinced he would lose or destry a Provari if I got him one of those, and then I'd have to hurt him.
