For Cheap I used to Love 5 volt passthroughs. It was simply a USB cable that plugs into your PC with a 510 connector with a few electronics on the end. This way, you could vape at home directly from AC and save the battery on your mod for when you go outside. I don't even know if they are sold anymore but for 15 bucks you couldn't beat them. They supply about 8 watts at 5 volts.

I bought a Comp Lyfe Takeover Mini Mod. Chrome. $13.19 at Ali Express.
When I got it, I noticed that they left the engraving very rough. If I sanded it out, then I'd still have scratches on the chrome. So I put it on a spindle, and sanded it to 2000 grit. Wax and polishing last.

I was thinking about going down to the copper, but I really like the rainbow effect the way it is.

The engraving is smooth now. The mod is one of a kind!

Hybrid connection. Now there's something that really is for advanced users only. Seriously. How many people would know how to tell whether an atty is hybrid safe or not? Before they did it, that is. "Why is this thing getting so hot all of a sudden?"

Hmmm.... I've seen different terms used for the different styles of 510.

A spring loaded pin is standard.

Adjustable center pin has been called hybrid, as has direct to battery...
It's all so confusing, and depends on context I guess

Can well remember way back in the tube mod days years ago when folks were complaining about the cost of commercial and custom plastic, wood, Corian, etc mod stands. Some of the fancier ones were even up to hundreds of dollars. They came down to ego or pride of ownership I guess, but they all did basically the same thing... held the mods up vertically so they wouldn't fall over. So I posted this picture for the whiners, a do it yourself cheaper than dirt mod stand that everyone one already has around the house and that anyone can afford. :)

With hybrid mods and atty's it is all about the center pin on the atty's 510 and if it is long enough for a proper connection.

Hybrid has no center pin on the mod. A lot of mechs have an adjustable fixed pin. I don't see a whole lot of spring loaded pins on mechs. They used to be quite common.

I like hybrids because they're easier to set up. By using a heat sink, I can change attys without any further adjustments. They also tend to be smaller and lighter.

I sanded it to 300 grit and polished it with Wright's copper cream. In the foreground you'll see what I used for a spindle/arbor. A carto.

Then, I accidentally bid on and won a "Purge Slam Piece" for $13 at an eBay auction:
Slamp.JPG

For $13 (about 1/2 the regular price), it's a really cool mod. It has a nice feel, and if you hold it right, you can squeeze fire it. The PEI on the firing lever was really rough, so I sanded it smooth, sanding off the "Purge" logo on the lever. No loss there. As it happens, PEI takes to sanding really well. It's really smooth now. Light and short, it's also big enough to take a 20700 battery--with an upgraded end cap that I can't seem to find anywhere (and no, an authentic won't fit).

All around excellent piece of cheap shiny!

But if you live alone, it'll take a long time to build one of those. Something can be delivered faster from FT.

Several (fixed) people have them here and really like them. I have one on the way. Decent price too.

I'm glad they like the Baby Ness, but is sharing their choice of permanent birth control pertinent to their preference?:D

I made a mistake earlier. My mod here is a Slim Piece, not a Slam Piece. I need to learn to read. 25mm instead of 30mm is nice for me, and I don't care if it takes 20701s or not.

I had long ago ordered a Joyetech Procore Air in gold ($20 from some place in China--I don't remember who...) a couple of months ago. When I took it out of the box, I decided that it was the perfect mate for the Slim Piece. Garish, loud, and makes huge clouds with my 98VG juice.

Behind it is a Kamry K-200. In 2012, Kamry came out with a beginner kit (K-100) that consisted of a very well designed mech mod paired with a cartomizer. In 2014, they released this "updated" kit, which consisted of a mech with a matching tank. The locking mechanism isn't nearly as easy to use, and the tank is...dated. I like my other 3 Kamry's better.

Both were discontinued earlier this year, when Kamry decided to produce regulated mods only. So there's a bunch of them out there on AliExpress for cheap. $12!

Did you get it through that blow out deal at Efun.top?
I just grabbed 2 of those 3 battery smowwolf 218's yesterday from them for $12.99 each.My son had one and loved it,but it got dropped a while back, and doesn't work right anymore. We searched all over a few months ago,and couldn't find them,so when i seen that deal i grabbed 2,another for him and one for me too.

Sorry for the late reply but I've not been on forum.

No I got the one I purchased from Roadside Vapes.. They had a special sale, limit of 1 type deal, but awesome price drop at the time so I grabbed it.

I especially liked it being USA vendor for that price, sometimes I dislike the slowboat waiting.. lol.

But yeah, I saw the Efun sale.. cool!
