I'm rather new to this vaping and still experimenting with what flavors an strengths i like.

I just received a few 4mg carto's from V4L... not too impressed. They were spiced cider and green tea - maybe that was the first problem, the flavors themselves! I got them to smoke at night, as i have found that the higher mg's tend to keep me up a bit. i generally smoke between 8 and 18 (depending on the flavor/ my mood).
Anyway, I was wondering if all lower mg (4 and 0) carto's are the same: VERY little to no vapor, no throat hit and almost no flavor!
I'm hoping that it was just the two flavors that i chose. Does anyone have any advice on low mg flavors to try? I am a fan of coffees, chocolates, vanillas - the basics! I'd also be more than happy to try a trade if anyone is up for it with the low mg's that i already have.
Just looking for a little guidance!

Hi NicV,
Not all cartos are the same. Some are prefilled, some are not prefilled. It's the VG that gives the better vapor and the PG that gives the throat hit. When I order my cartos, I order them empty so I can fill w/the juices I like. I happened onto a website that has a 70pg/30vg blend that I like a lot. They have 0mg, 6mg, 11mg and on up to 36mg. Their juice is really nice. I favor their orange, wild cherry, bubblegum, banana split and vanilla butternut. You might want to check out their site, as their 30ml bottles are only $7. It might be an economical way to try different PG/VG mixes, not to mention their other flavors. I did order their chocolate hazlenut which I'm not to keen on, so I have added TV butter rum to it which makes it better. Best of luck. Here is their website. Vapor Renu

My experience is along the lines of what Seabrook says on how the variation in cartomizers is great. While VG does tend to cut down on throat hit, true throat hit comes from nicotine and heat - PG just doesn't interfere with that whereas VG seems to. So the lower nic cartos won't have the throat hit but that shouldn't affect the vapor and frankly, the flavor should be better with less nicotine. So mainly, you're running into the variations of cartomizers/flavors. Sometimes it is within a flavor - their cuban cigar is really tasty and the newport is a strong menthol but both are some of the worst vapor producers (Virginia is another) among the lot. Caramel Mocha Frap. has some of the best vapor in V4L's cartos (or it did until they changed it - get the 'classic c.m.f. if you can) and cognac and the premium flavors also have good vapor, the last because the ohms are lower in the premiums.
