Low Ohm And Relation With Throat Hit

Hi.

I recently coild my Igo L dripping RA with 28 gauge wire, 4 wraps on a 3mm silica wick and managed to get 0.7 ohm. The vapor and flavor production is good but I get a very strong throat hit compared to my usual 2.0 ohm cartos.

Is this normal?

It made the back of my throat a bit scratchy. Will bigger air hole reduce this? The std is 1mm.

Are you using the same voltage with the low ohms? If so, you are pushing more watts, more watts, more heat.

Yes.its 0.7 ohm so i had to use it on a mech

My guess is that is why the throat hit changed. at 3.7 volts that is almost 20 watts. 3.7 volts at 2 ohms is only about 7 watts.

That might explains it. Im going to experiment with wider airhole

yeah, a larger airhole can help reduce throat hit. your draw will be looser though.
