I'm coming close to becoming a member of the Reo Grande Club but have some final questions.

To get to my sweet spot on the Reo with rba I figure I'm going to have to rba
at around .5 Ohm maybe a little lower.

Questions
1. What Voltage Drop do you see
2. Is the Tumbled Version more conductive
3. Will the springs and trigger Button melt at the low Ohms [Not talking about if shorted]
4. How does the Conductivity of the Reo Grande compare to a High End Mechanical?

Can anyone chime in about there experience at very low Ohm.? I've read through the different posts and haven't seen it addressed.

I haven't gone lower than 0.7 ohms on my Reo, but there were no issues at all for me.
I found I don't have to go that low on it to be happy though. Doing a nice microcoil using cotton as wick I'm perfectly happy with 0.8-1.0 on it.
The tiny atties I use on it intensifies the vape with the small chamber cap, so I feel I don't have to go as low to be happy.
I haven't measured the voltage drop either, never felt the need.

1. What Voltage Drop do you see - On a powdercoated grand with a 1.3ohm coil I get about .36 v drop on a freshly charged AW IMR 2000 mah battery
2. Is the Tumbled Version more conductive - I do not have a tumbled version and have not heard any info on it being more or less conductive. Best guess, you might pull an extra tenth out of it if it is not the clearcoated version.
3. Will the springs and trigger Button melt at the low Ohms [Not talking about if shorted] - I do not wrap mine that low but I do know a couple who vape 6v on them and have not had problems. I would pick up a spare button just in case.
4. How does the Conductivity of the Reo Grande compare to a High End Mechanical? - See number 1. There is a little more drop than the high end prototypical tube style mechanical.

There is not a lot of info on this aspect of the REOs as the way they deliver the juice into a properly set up and good quality RBA does not require such a low ohm build like one needs in a genny to good a solid hitting vape. I know you have other feeders so I would hope you are comparing apples to apples here and already know you like a .5 ohm build on a good RBA on a bottom feeder. If not though, you may find yourself perfectly satisfied with something in .8-1.0 range.

You will find a WEALTH of info here on different RBA builds, more so than anywhere else on ECF at least when it comes to bottom fed RDA's. The build makes a lot more difference than the ohms for most of us.

I'm only about 6 weeks in with my reo, but I've been real happy with .7/.8 on Nextel or (recently) ekowool. I've tried the micro coil cotton thing and burnt it up pretty quick. I've tried higher resistance and just found myself reaching for a fresh battery when it dropped under 4v. I did wrap a couple of .5/.6 coils and felt like it was a little too hot for my taste. BTW, I generally drip a larger TFer at around .6 and I run genni tanks at about .9-1. I only use normal silica setups at 1.3-1.5.

I've only melted one spring and it was because A7...don't do that. I was losing a full volt after that because the positive contact was crusted with arc burn. I carried a dremel sanding bit behind my bottle until I discovered noalox. I just measured and I'm dropping .4v under load, but I haven't cleaned or scraped for about a week - not bad.
