Low throat hit but no flavour?

Newbie here and I just started vaping.wanna ask some things:
1.I don't like throat hit because I used to smoke light ciggs (1mg), I have my juice at nicotine 6 and pg vg 50 50.before i got pg 80 vg 20 juice it makes my throat so hurts.now the throat hit is okay but I can barely feel the flavor at all.what should I do?change vg pg ratio or increase nic level?(my pv doesnt have any setting to change the volt,only 1 button to on off and vape)
2.if i want to change my flavor shud I clean the cartridge with water first?

nicotine is the biggest contributer to throat hit
vg can tone it down a bit and can kill some flavor as it can be sweet, and helps vapor production
pg can help throat hit, and flavor compared to vg

if you wanna stay with your pg vg and nic levels you would want to find vendors that custom make juice and have a higher % of flavor put in or buy the straight flavoring and add a drop or two till you find the flavor is better, but that will alter your nic level to be a tad bit lower

you are already at 6mg which is pretty darn low. you might want to try different flavors. what juice vendor are you using now? it may just be that the juice you are buying is flavored lighter than some of the stronger flavored juices. but if you want, add another 10% PG and it shouldn't totally change the throat hit.

are you using cartomizers or cartridges ?? i have found that the same juice will taste differnt depending on what delivery system i am using it in ,as in ,cartridge,cartomizer,CE2, geney

Thats a great idea Denali. If you are using a vivi tank or similar, the flavor is probably muted. Maybe try a carto tank?

I'm a bit confused as to what the problem is. I don't understand "feel the flavor" ... do you mean taste the flavor? If so with 50/50 you should still taste it unless your really new and experience what most of us have which is a loss of taste off and on (it comes back). Or do you mean feel the "juice?" If that's the case, I wouldn't increase nic if you're stepping down. I would try ordering extra flavor and a bottle of straight PG and add that to your juice until you can feel it. Or go ahead and up your nic with the extra flavor along with plain PG and plain VG and add those to your liking. It will lower the nic a bit from what you ordered and is why I say to bump it up a bit because you'll bring it back down yourself. If you use cartomizers you can do any of the above just by putting a few drops of either plain on your filled carto.

If you previously smoked 1mg nic analogs, maybe you can even go down to 0 nic juice? That would pretty much kill any throat hit you get. Can't speak from personal experience as I've never tried 0 nic, but even 6mg feels like almost nothing to me at 85PG/15VG.

Yea I'm trying 6mg bcos dont know which mg should i choose ,used to smoke light 1mg analog.And I'm using cartridge.
Think i'm gonna test other juice from other vendor first and compare it.

@patkin What I mean by the flavor is I cant feel the fruit taste In my mouth,not feeling the juice,yes I'm really new.still my first week vaping,and still smoking analog too but a lesser than usual(now half a box every day).maybe I lost the taste for a while?

It's common not to taste flavors when you start. Your taste buds are still recovering. Don't go crazy buying a bunch of liquids just yet.

Just focus on whether or not your still craving cigarettes. The taste will come back. If your still smoking a bit it's not going to help much with flavors.

Agree with caridwen. First couple of weeks, i didnt really feel the flavour. Then as I acclimated, I got more sensitive to it, and began feeling it.

I don't like throat hit at all, I use close to 100% VG and Clearos (Vivi Nova 2.5, Kanger T2's). So, smooth is my thing, if I add a few drops of flavor to my mixes I really notice the flavor after vaping unflavored most of the time.
