Curious to know, what's the lowest any of you would go (in ohms) on a coil in a kayfun powered by a mech?

I tried a 0.8 ohm coil and did not like it. One or two good hits then a dry hit. 1.0 ohm was a little better, but still could not get it to wick juice fast enough. I have settled in at 1.25 with 30 gauge and organic cotton and am loving it. It has become my daily everyday tank. I am now in vannila custard nirvana. I hardly drip anymore unless I'm sampling flavors or making clouds

I build right at around 1.2-1.3 as well. Like you, I have went lower and wasn't happy either. But I know people who swear by .7-.8. I can't do it. Tastes terrible.

Yup yup 1.3 - 1.5 is my sweet spot for my kayfun 3.1 on the stingray and on my ProVari

Lowest on a kayfun I enjoy is 0.8 dual coil. I use tanks when I want to take nice long pulls, and any lower and I cannot have an enjoyable long vape. 
Yep, 1.3-1.6ohm
It is not important to get the lowest ohm coil possible. It is important to make a built that works. My Kayfuns have been very consistent

I use a 1.3 - 1.5 ohm microcoil in my KFL+ so that I can use it on both my Silver Bullet (mechanical) and Provari's (regulated).
I use a 0.6 ohm dual microcoil (two 1.2 ohm microcoils) in my drippers.

Something that works is of most importance to me as well. I may buy another 3.1 to play with but I did not really like building it . Why don't they put holes in the post, hate wrapping around screws. That said the Kayfun 3.1 is the best vape that I have found so far in a tank.
I've been using twisted 30g at 1ohm for a week and see no difference from when I was running my normal micro at 1.5ohm. Think when it comes time to change it I'll go back to the micro at 1.5 see if I do in fact notice a difference or lack thereof.
One of the things I always do on posts of that kind is to wrap the wire completely around the screw once and then tighten the screw. Holds it better in place, and trust me there is enough room to do it
As far as sub-ohm, it does have it place in my arsonal. I'm running a dual coil setup on aHelios at 0.54 with one micro-coil and one macro-coil, and I'm really surprised at how well it works. Not to much heat, thick cloud, with pretty good flavor, and posts with holes
Lowest I go on these is .8 but frankly I like my Kayfuns at 1.4 plus or minus .2 or so....
Lowest I've happily went on my kayfun lite is .9 but she does pretty good at 1.0 as well.
I sit between 1.0 and 1.8 though I prefer 1.4 but my building skills or lack thereof give me that much variable
I have a dozen drippers and can't seem to get anything out of them that tastes decent no matter the ohm reading. I just can't figure out what all the hype is about. Can anyone enlighten me please? I would love to know the secret so I can actually use them. If not they're going on ebay.
