Well I hope the UPS man will be here later today with my first real vaping things..though realistically it will probably be Friday..anyhow, I have a V2 KGO kit coming along with a KGO VV, and various cartomizers etc.. I just realized looking at my invoice that I ordered one atomizer that is low resistance. (1.6-1.9 I believe) I'm sure that's okay with the KGO non vv, as the product details specifically say nothing under 1.5 ohms and it's not..but would it be harmful to use it with the vv? I can't afford to blow anything up for at least a week. :p

I believe OP did not order the VV but the new improved Version 2 Kgo V2. Fires at 3.7 volts with improved electronics:
V2 KGO Clearomizer kit.
Here is the newest addition to the KGO family. A few new features worth going over:
Linear discharge- Meaning when the button is pressed the power is on continuously, no more pulsing the power on and off like the last generation of KGO batteries. This equals a better hit.

Unfortunately though VaporPhoxxe is relatively close (30 miles or so) they are inaccessible to me, I no longer have a car and there isn't public transportation to Hatboro. (which is where I went to school many many years ago) The electronic cigarette store is very very close to me and would be worth the cab ride since I can't walk more than 1/4 mile at this point - but my husband walked out there after we looked at it on Google maps and saw only trees last week and there is no actual storefront there according to him. I ordered the regular V2 Kgo but then added the vv kgo battery as well, since having two seems like the minimum to start, and vv is appealing. I was concerned about the vv with lr atomizer because I got the idea that you shouldn't use lr with less than 3.7 volts, and I guess the vv starts at 3.0...but you say it's okay to start at like 3.4 and go up as desired, yes?
Sadly the UPS truck just came through my apartment complex..and didn't stop here. :( Tomorrow I guess.

Around 9 watts is the SWEET SPOT... so you need to get your cartomizers resitance and use OHMs law to find out what voltage will get you there.. (V^2 / OHMS = watts) that is voltage squared divided by cartomizer resistance. You want around 8.0-9.0 watts, adjust to taste! I have a Zmax so I do not do the math... but when I use my ProVari I use this formula, Vmax not so much... the stacked battery config and the way it burns hotter makes me start low and work my way up. I use Boge 2.0 LR cartos which range from 2.1-2.5 ohms. This is my experience and opinion.. Zmax performs best with the single battery config. in my opinion... Would be nice to post in other forums as I have a lot of trial and error on all three devices and could contribute to the other posts and questions!

The store I bought my ltube 1.5t from gave me lr dct carts and I hated it. I ended up purchasing some standard resistance ce3 carts and it works great but I feel like I want to vape at higher voltages. So I asked the store to send me a high ohm replacement and theyre sending me 3 ohm ones, hopefully it works great! Good luck with your search.

The voltage regulation on inexpensive VV units can be misleading. Often, these devices deliver higher voltage than indicated. LR devices were designed for use with regulated 3.7V but many have used 4.2V without burning.

Unless I was using a Provari or some other VV APV with accurate voltge regulation I'd start using a LR device at 3.2V and try higher voltage from there in small increments.
