LR atties question...

I have absolutely no expertise in this area. I do recall reading a similar post where the answer had to do with the MAh rating of the batteries being used. LR's will only work with 400+ MAh's. I'll be interested in the final answer to this one as well.
My LR atty's work fine with the 14500. It sounds like a wiring/ build/ protection issue.
Did you put a resistor in there? Wired correct? Run a amp check at the 510 connection to double check the voltage?

The lower resistance cause a greater current draw. First I've heard of them tripping the protection circuit on a 14500 though.

I think it may have been the atty... it just popped... even while keeping it pretty wet, lol
im using the ultrafire 14500 protected. have worked fine with everything else. bauway 510s (one did something similar if it was dry), slb 510, joye 510, disposable 510, and a 801.
2 different box mods, one with horn button and led (atty wired before led). One with nothing but wires and a small push-button switch (not a tact). Have worked fine on all other atties.

That is wierd. My friend uses the LR's on his box mod I made him with the same battery you are using and never had an issue with it. I have also heard somewhere that the increased current draw can trip the circuit protection in the 14500 battery. It happened to me when I had a DSE 905.
We see it sometimes when batteries start getting beat up a bit.. There was a great 5 volt mod thread about this a while back and we scratched our heads trying to figure out why they'd only work for a couple of seconds then stop. Ended up just needing some new batts.. But it's only a guess...
Oh well, i like the regular bauways anyways, so im fine with keeping away from the LRs.
My buddy's LR did the same thing to his box mod... But he gave to someone who just uses regular bats.
