Hi vengeance. Like Kemosabe said above…if you set your Kick to 10 watts, that is what you’ll get because the Kick will sense whatever your atty ohms are and regulate the output voltage to hit that target power (wattate) that you set. The differences then become deciding what voltage and amp draw you want your battery to produce to achieve that target wattage. LR atties will use less volts, but will pull more amps on the battery to achieve that target wattage than SR atties will.

so you will get the same "vape" weather you use LR or SR?

Tricky question, but I think if everything else in your juice delivery system is exactly the same between your LR and SR systems except the coil resistance (same juice, wick, coil and batting materials and same construction type), then yes...same "vape". The Kick will regulate the voltage and amperage to achieve that set wattage (heat at the coil) in LR, SR, or HR coils that you've set.

Comparing the same wattage in dissimilar juice delivery systems will change that a bit though. Found I like one of my all day vape juices at much higher wattages in mesh wick RBA tanks than I do in silica wick carto tanks for example. I’ll also tweak the wattage at the coils a bit depending if I’m vaping top-coil clearos, bottom-coil clearos, DD atties…totally depends on the delivery system. They each seem to have their own sweet-spot wattage, even using the same juice IMO.

The numbers in the colored blocks are the watts. For instance, I normally use a 3.0Ω carto and set the volts at 4.2, which gives me 5.88 watts. I have a few 2.0Ω carto's, so I set the volts at 3.7, which gives me 6.85 watts. They are both in the green zone, so I don't worry about frying the coils.
