They just got here, so no steep time to speak of yet. I got Kahlua and Cream; seems very very sweet to me. The others are fruities: Pina Colada, weakish but faithful, Pomegranate, also sweeter than I would've expected, and the Raspberry, the best of the bunch. I like my flavors rich, and not super-sweet.
Penny,
Ha-well I know how to
not steep myself!!! If ya got it, use it (or is that flaunt it...) anyway I usually use mine right out of the mail box and by the time it is half empty I claim that period of time as "Steep" should anyone ask.
OK - for the record I have been purchasing
PG/VG @50/50 and 24mg of Nic. I have not noticed much difference in taste with Nic level. However I have notice a lot of difference with PG/VG ratio right out of the mail box. with L7 juice my subjective opinion is about two weeks of steep time for the flavors to mellow and smooth out. My steep is done in my kitchen cabinet at approx. room temp (70-F). During the two weeks I start with shacking vigorously then put on the shelf for two days with the lid off (and if you have small bottles take out the drip tip). One week later I put the top back on do the shake thing again then back on the shelf (two days lid off) for another week. Keep in mind I usually use the steeping juice if I am low on others that I like.
As far as taste almost all brands and flavors are weekish to me and as far as sweet well I have not had one yet that I thought was sweat so I know for sure those buds are on holiday. As a matter of fact I was just perusing a DIY site and think I am going to buy some sweetener (by the way there are two different kinds of sweeteners depending on what type of juice you want to sweeten).
This is getting "way" long winded so I will try to cut to the chase. I have
Kahlua and Cream no extra shots and
Mountain Drink with two extra shots.
The Kahlua straight out of the mail box was YUK but after three weeks it mellowed and smooth out and now I enjoy it. However because it is so heavy with (I don't know what to call it) flavor ingredients I find it more suited for dripping albeit I have a tank with hollow XC-116 silica wick that handles it just fine. To me it is not sweet like sugar but sweet like cream I was expecting something like real Kahlua which can be really really sweet. To close on Kahlua it took about three weeks of shake, vent, sit before it became something that I will vape with my morning coffee or late in the evening to keep me out of the munchies cabinet. Good but not an ADV for me.
I will try to make this even shorter... (ya-right).
The Mountain Drink (Mtn-Dew) when I first got it I thought I messed up Big Time with the two extra shots. It was harsh a little bitter capped of with a Mtn-Dew (short of) after taste. Two to three weeks of my standard method of steeping and it turned into a really nice Mtn-Dew vape. I am vaping it right now as I type this "Poor-Man's Essay" and it could be an ADV but I have so many flavors from L7 that if I rotate a new flavor ever day it will be a week or so before I get back around to the Mountain Drink again.
In closing and probably the only thing you wanted to know is "no extra flavor shots" L7 (and most brands) muted flavor, overly sweet has never been a problem for me. Your claim of a little too sweet makes me jealous and is obviously a difference caused by my sense of taste handicap.
PS -
Kahlua any tank that I use it in has to be
REALLY CLEANED before putting a different flavor in it or it will taste like Kahlua for two or three tanks regardless of what I put in it after the Kahlua.
