and literally 5 minutes after this post I get my email from COV notifying me that the TS is in stock! riiiiiiiight....
Imeo you have to find another retailer instead of COV. I'm like an idiot wasted so much time tracking your hardware and by the end my shopping carts with items I already placed are gone for good. All they say sorry we need another $%%#$# server.
Im not really knowledgeable of how servers work etc, but even the largest sites go down when there are millions of people world wide trying to sign on and buy the same things.
I guess I just dont understand the whole boycott COV or dumping them as a supplier etc. Only reason this happened is because enough people complained to Imeo that they didnt like the whole pre-order system of paying money up front and waiting for so long.
I dont know about you , but if it were not for pre-orders I would only have my one Odysseus and thats it. I will not spend hours of frustration and getting my hopes up in the frenzy for ANY Item.
Even my waiting since December for the device I got for my Odysseus's to sit on was so much better than this craziness. I really feel for all of you , and I feel for COV.
I hope some get through and get your hearts desire.

I already talked to Bruce about this guys. He really needs another server and I am sure that he will do it ASAP. Thanks a lot for your feedback about this issue. That way Bruce knows exactly what has to be done.
i think comparing a massive site with millions of people hitting to an ecommerce site for a niche market is not a reasonable thing to do. most likely they weren't on a dedicated server built / managed for high traffic. imagine, without the bi-quarterly GG sales, theyd just be selling chinese gear and juice...outside of AVE being down for 4 months, no one is really pounding a site hard for that. they prolly cheaped out on bandwidth on a shared server. but thats speculation.
Well said. I have dealt with esmokeguru and COV in the past and found the service from both to be excellent. I agree with the pre-order system as well - it is nice to be able to select all of the items one requires at leisure rather than a mad rush and only ending up with one or two.
I don't think I will be lucky enough to get anything at COV today as I can't just wait for a couple of hours to get into the site. No doubt COV is doing their best to deal with the pressure they must be under at the moment.
Please Imeo - also put the items available today on a pre-order so we can all have a chance.
I love my GG brass but would enjoy the opportunity to have time to 'shop' at leisure.

After spending seven miserable hours on the COV site and still unable to successfully check out, I'm giving up on getting my GG. Sorry, Imeo ... I tried. I really did.
I have just tried to log into my account with COV and got the message "not registered". When I tried to reset my password thinking I had it wrong, I get a message that the email is not recognised.
So does this mean my personal details have been compromised?

The issue with the server is bad. But, the lack of any posting by COV to clarify and update the situation is even worse. This shows no regard for the customers.

As I said on another thread 3 mins before and as I said 1 week ago, I will start preorders for every GG item and at the same time I will have available a lot more units. That way we can all have what we want

Guys, I am really sorry about this issue. I already contact to COV. I am sure that this time they will do their best to fix it once for good because new orders will come soon like Ithaka and new Stealths. They really have to be prepared

Because COV had posted that the site was working again, I tried one last time to check out, and while it now accepts my order, it now tells me that the GG Stealth is OUT OF STOCK. I guess it just wasn't meant to be ...
My only question is: if the site has been down for over 12 hours now, who the hell got all the Stealths?!! And HOW??!

I made 2 orders 3 weeks ago, COV and DV...two tools in England were using my identity a few days later. Charges are covered, but the man's write-up a few posts up brings this all full circle. Pre-paid! For that will protect us quicker than breath holding/server/cc processor upgrading!
