Yes, that's exactly how you do it.

But if this is foreign to your body, it may be hard for you to do. And if you are using sub-ohm coils (or even the 1.2Ω coil when you are used to 2.0Ω) you will need to lower your nic.

It's been easy for me only because I have been vaping 8+ years and the progression of vape hardware with regards to airflow has gone from extremely tight to very wide open. I also modded my equipment with regards to airflow over the years to get the wide open draw that I like.

After 5 years of vaping I'm going back to the mouth inhale and exhale without inhaling into the lungs most of the time. Lung inhaling is just as you described. You breathe in through the mouthpiece as if you were inhaling plain old air. Then exhale. That's all there is to it. There's a certain irritant effect to inhaling vapor down into the lungs every time you vape. Most of us treat our ecig as if it's a pacifier. We seldom put it down.
