I never lung-inhaled cigarettes. But as for vaping - I've only used cartos and clearos so far, lung-inhaling with both. I don't know how it would perform with a tank/carto, as I haven't vaped with one yet.

I admit I'm new to ECF and to vaping, but I'm not sure how lung-inhaling would flood a tank. Perhaps - since a lung draw would take longer, since the lungs have more capacity than the mouth - one may end up dry-hitting the wick/coil if it couldn't keep up with a draw of more than 3-4 seconds? That hasn't happened to me yet. My Triton tank has so far always been able to keep up with my draw strengths and durations. I pull with fairly light pressure, and my pulls usually take 4-6 seconds.

i will admit when i had my blu e-cigs the real crappy ones from the gas station i did lung inhale because that was the only way to get vapor from them. but i now have a lavatube v2.5 and i just mouth to lung inhale now but if i try to pull too fast i think i start to flood the tank and then i get liquid on the 510 battery connection. i personally don't see the need for straight lung inhale with the exception of a cheap cigalike e-cig. because its all about just getting nicotine with the flavor and mouth to lung inhale gives you the flavor and the nicotine that you need. unless your cloud chasing i would think you would stick to the mouth to lung inhale. i like to stick to the simple things and last night after reading this thread i went to try a lung inhale laying down and my asthma didn't like that very much i start to wheeze and crap so i just stick to the mouth to lung inhale i still get the nicotine and flavor i am looking for.

I smoke mouth to lung. Always have, still do. ( Sometimes I hit some Analogs.. I know it's bad, but on the go... just easier.....)
When I vape I mostly do Mouth inhales, sometimes I don't even inhale, or do a mouth and then reverse river (or something?) to my nose.
Lung inhales are nice, but I always get a big cough feeling in my throat. (Even with 0mg nic I sometimes get the feeling).

So it depends, I switch it a lot. Mostly mouth inhales, some lung inhales (also some with my mouth half on the tip, extra air) or mouth to nose ;)

when I was on analogs I didn mouth inhale (MI) never knew there was the lung (LI) one
after a few months I learned about LI and now it's a matter of the juice: my tobaccos MI and my fruit menthols are LI

there is something magical on vaping menthol and LI feels like a big breath after using a few high strenght mint candy

I have been vaping for three years. I smoked before I vaped.

When I smoked cigarettes it was always lung inhales.

On my Ithaka the draw is perfect, flavor is great. Kayfun is the same.

On drippers I need advice. I tried moth draws and lung draws, but I saw this thing that other people like Rip Trippers where they do like a light puff then a full inhale. What is that? What's the best method for flavor? I don't care about nicotine or anything, I know it's preference but I want too enjoy RDAs more. I want a more flavorful inhale technique.

at first i only did mouth to lung because thats what i did when i smoked. Well i noticed i got more vapor production with lung hits. Once you get a atty with better airflow its much easier to do lung hits. So i mainly do lung hits now and mouth to lung half the time. I like to change it up.

I always recommend first users to smoke it like a cigar... If they don't they choke every time, then they get turned off. Yeah start with cigar hits In the beginning, then move to mouth to lung hits, which I what I normally do as the nic in vapor is absorbed in the mouth anyway not the lungs.

Well, I do both. I have a mini protank that has quite a tight draw. most of the times, I mouth inhale, but from time to time, I open up a bit of air and inhale regular air alongside the protank...and do a straight lung inhale. the taste is different and more vapor from a lung inhale. Also, there is more of a throat hit with a lung inhale, so it tends to curb any smoking tendencies. But when I want full flavor, I do a mouth inhale. A mouth inhale usually ends up seeping through the nose, and I smell it more. It's a more intense taste on the tongue, and I can actually feel the niccotine being absorbed. the lung inhale dries my mouth more, and the mouth inhale dries my nose more.

Just my observation.
