Lung Inhaling

That build looks like it sgouldnt have any problems creating vapor (22 guage?) and with the atty youre describing, you shouldnt have any problems with a lung inhale. You said youre not feeling anything in your lungs? What kind of feeling are you expecting? I dont notice any feeling in my luungs when lung inhaling, just the back of my throat from nicotine... I am using my tugboat v2 with a 0.2 ohm 24 guage similar build, no issues with lung hits. If you hold in youre hit for a while you will lose some vapor on exhale. What wattage are you vaping at?

It looks like you have cotton underneath your coils. I usually leave the space under the coils open for better airflow. Line up the coils with the airflow holes on the top cap and make sure you can see your coil through the air holes.
That was my issue, or part of it I had to get the cotton from underneath the coils and then reduce the amount of cotton overall as I was putting too much in the coil itself.

I was a mouth to lung hitter, and the straight lung inhale confused me at first also. To start, don't completely seal the lips around your drip tip and take a deep breath, expanding your chest, taking in outside air with the air through the drip tip. Once you get use to it you can just take the air in from your atty, if the airflow is sufficient.

Big airflow RDA is what pushed me to do lung inhales. For me I switch depending on atty and do some mouth to lung as well.

If your issue is how do you physically do it...

With no vaperizor... Open you mouth and breath. Switch back and forth breathing through your nose and through your mouth while keeping your mouth open. I find I'm using the back of my tongue to re-route the airflow. It is the same tongue action to switch between mouth and lung hits. Also to do mouth to lung hits you start with the tongue sealing off, then move the tongue down and out of the way to open up the direct to lung hit.

Could it be that you are inhaling so deeply and holding so long that there's just not that much vapor coming back out? I can dbl inhale and hold to where there's virtually no vapor on exhale. Great for stealth situations, or public vaping where you're not hiding but helping the folks around you get comfy with the idea like if I ask a business owner if it's ok, they approve, and other customers are looking a little uneasy.

Yes. I'm blowing out vapor. It's just not coming out as a thick long cloud. I'm using high VG juice 3 mg nic.

So, I get the feeling you are lung inhaling, but the real issue that there is not enough vapor production, correct? How is the flavor? Is there any other issue I'm missing?

Also, as Chris asked, what wattage are you running?

The power (watts) you put into the atty has a big influence on how much air needs to move through the atty to give you the vape you want. With 12 air holes open you can inhale really fast, cool down the coils and actually get less vapor and certainly less flavor, specially if you're running lower watts. If you can close off some of the air holes, experiment with that and see what happens. Inhale slower and faster also and see how that goes too.

I use a Mutation X with a 0.2 ohm dual coil setup with 24 gauge wire on a mech mod, so around 60 watts with a fully charged battery. I never open more than 6 air holes per side and I normally vape with 3/side open for better flavor. That works well for me and it needs to be lung inhaled or it's just a waste of battery power because a mouth inhale has such small volume.

Here's a picture of the atty I'm using. Running 26 gauge wire. .19 ohms.
I'm running the IPV v2 with 17 watts. I get excellent flavor.

At .2 ohms on an ipv2 you are only pulling 3.6 volts at 50 watts. Thats like vaping on a dying mech mod. On an ipv2 you are better off either building a higher ohm build or cranking up the wattage to 50 and soaking those wicks! Lol but seriously you want big clouds, throw that build on a fully charged mech something all copper!

Thanks for the tip on the wattage. That's definitely helping. I guess I was afraid of scalding my insides. Lol

You'll be able to feel when the vape is too hot (and believe me, I'm not a fan of an uncomfortably hot vape).

Firing on a 1 ohm coil at 50W, however, would almost instantaneously burn your wick (trust me, I've done it by accident before..)

*raises hand*

Question...this picture...is that a 0.19 ohm build??? 9 wraps? dual? 26g? To me...that's not going to be 0.19ohm...

That's a fair point. If I had to guess, that's probably about .3-.4 ohms, but I'm not sure what the diameter of the coil is (looks pretty wide) so I'm gonna be leaning on the higher side.
