Well there are a couple options. As others have mentioned the classies. I won't pay an arm and a leg so my options are either lists or email notifications.

For lists try either http://www.vaporwall.com or http://vapepit.net Really cool stuff coming out overseas.

For email notifications try http://www.310vapes.com The get in stock the iHybrid, Juggernaut, and orion. Also check out http://www.vapistvapourizers.co.uk They are uk based and sometimes their sales are eu only but a lot of times they are open to everyone. They carry a ton of high end APV's and Attys.

Last but not least is Jim from http://www.mmvapors.com God love this man. His stuff is high quality and in stock very often. The Poldiac is a beast of a mech mod with it's silver contacts and the button design is brilliant.

There are plenty of other mods that do the exact same thing without the price tag or the wait. This is the whole reason why china is profiting like a mother F'er in this market. They meet the demand with a very good price. I wanted the GG but I didn't want to wait or go to the classifieds to pay an extra $100 on top of regular price.

If you take an interest in preventing people from making big profits off selling their mods, report the post to an admin. ecf bans profiteering, but the mods aren't super heroes.

the above seems to be happening quite a bit with some people who posed as juggheads. I saw one guy post his for trade before he even received it. pretty lame IMO.

Yeah that was but a lot of people get things to trade, i don't have an issue with that. Getting things only to sell at a markup is a bit different.

I mean, if you really want a Caravela and didn't get on the list, acquiring something like a Jugg might help you get there. I'm fine with that. Buying one to sell it for 20% over a day later is kind of crappy though.

Yeah if you want crap that doesn't work out of the box. Got a DID clone and it was garbage. Got a cobra clone and had to sand down the tank so the wick and air hole would line up. Sorry but ya get what you pay for in this industry. That's why china has yet to make a provari killer. I'd like to see any Chinese atty or APV perform like a Zen, Caravela, Poldiac, Foggatti, Orion, Cobra,Bliss... should I go on? There isn't anything that comes close to any of them.

like i said earlier in the op...I dont sweat the price tag for a quality unit...but look at ALL the links that have been posted on this thread and you will find everything is out of stock...the only one available was the Zen 18650 (which I wanted anyway)... luckily i got one on the way now ...

there is a method to the madness its rarity by design...drive the prices up by hype based on availability ..

the fact that there is basically NO hybrids ready for sale but 1 is weird..

It's the industry going through growing pains. The demand WAY outweighs supply. Most of the makers of these high end hybrids are machinist by trade that just happen to vape and made something they liked. Hell even the manufacturing juggernaut Provape couldn't keep up with demand. It's just the nature of the beast at this point.

Lots of quality stuff has been available but people seem to not want them once they are available. I put in minimal effort for the most part and still got a bunch of cool stuff. Poldiacs were up too.

People seem to define luxury items as only the ones they can't get...so by this nature, it's never going to stop.

So aside from rarity, I wonder how much this all has to do with "The New Sexy".

Of course it has to do with that. The whole second type of cool thing, it's not the only thing but it helps and especially in the secondary market. If you could just buy a Caravela, they'd still be awesome but nobody would be trading a 600 Zen Ti for them.

Here's what a mod/genny needs for me: looks good to me, works well, I can buy it at or below retail without some sort of list. I don't mind logging onto a site early to get something (like the Amp tank) but I am not putting a huge effort in nor joining six forums to get on the right lists. I'll sign up for notification to get a heads up (I did this with the AC9) but that's about it.

With that said, everyone has to decide what they want or are willing to do. If that is merely obtain quality products, it's not that hard.

Great thread with a lot of good points. To me, it all comes down to Pe#$% Envy. I am as guilty as the next person. Heck, I'm on so many "lists" I can't even keep track of them! A couple of weeks ago I sat down and made a list of exactly what it is I'm looking for in a mod. Build quality, reliability, versatility, ergonomics, looks and availability. In that order. I ended up buying an EA (Electric Angel). While I own several "prettier" and rarer mods, this is the device I grab everyday. What swayed me was the simplicity of the current path and button design. It CAN'T mis-fire! Fits any 18mm battery, with or without a kick. Oh, and while I paid full price for it, a friend told me that there were a few for sale on the classies. I refuse to give Paypal my bank account number so that was not an option for me.

still not alot available, dont really care for the EA..and the super T's are limited to 2 mods that require different batts than i want ....even a Frankenstein roller custom gets cut off at the inner tube with a "out of stock" notice... but thanks for the list will be good to go back and check with.

lol bro that's basically the same list ive been hound dogging for 2 weeks ...its all good tho cause i was able to squeak into a Zenises Standard ss with a friendly nudge from Larzis when they went up.
