thx rsngfrce. seeing that atomizer light up thru the cart was freaky. I had just taken a drag but got nothing off of it so i pulled it from my mouth to check to see if it was blinking.

I meant to say one of my 3 atomizers (not carts) is totally dead. + the #2 atomizer did that strange day glow thing. I'm down to one, if the day glow one doesn't work next time I try it.

Someone had mentioned that the batteries sometimes screw up on the warning flash. I'm wondering if that's the problem also, because I get no vapor at all, nothing is flashing, topped off, and then after a few more drags it starts flashing. Like too late, it's already not working. ???

Actually the only way I got it to make vapor at all was I ordered juice from Juicyliquid*dotcom on the forum. Once I started topping the carts myself, I finally got vapor. I tried dripping on the atomizer, but it didn't help when nothing works with it's quirks.

I don't mind troubleshooting it, but it's pretty damn quirky and a PITA to figure it out. If as someone earlier said, it uses all the juice in the cart, then watching to make sure it's not smoking dry would be a necessity.

I agree on the factory carts. Blech! burnt chemical apple taste on their marlboros. I got flavorless from Juicyliquid (jaax I think on the forum) and I love the sweet clean taste.

Hope this helps someone else as we figure out how to troubleshoot the M series and maybe help Smoore improve it so we don't have these quirks

well I emailed heavens gifts/ruyanndirect about their M401 asking if was an original Smoore M401, and the discrepancy of mah size of their M401 batteries.

Thanks for your contacting.

Yes, we are supplying the original M series products produced by Smoore.

The atomizers are 4-hole version. The M401 battery indeed has the capacity of 200mAh, not 220mAh. We got the products and parameters directly from the manufacturer.

YOurs sincerely,

Heaven Gifts

I just check s-smoore.com and it looks like they did in fact lower their original M401 battery from 220mah to 200mah

This is good to know. Ruyandirect has good prices and airmail shipping on small orders is dirt cheap. I am looking forward to my order arriving. Like I said... if it gets to me no problem, this will be my main supplier of m401 parts.

I also found a thread about dipping as apposed to dripping and have tried this and it works great! removing the inner part of the cart that has the fiberfill and just dipping the wick of the m401 gives me at least 15-20 deep good vapor(throat hit) satisfying puffs! It also seems much better than the possibility of dripping messy and it going to places it shouldn't... and the wick takes all it needs from dipping. Plus no waste from fluid not completely being used up in the fiberfill. Oh! I also widened the hole at the bottom of the cart/mouthpiece and i get much better vapor and throat hit now.

Need:Its good to hear that you're experiences are getting better, but im still pretty sure that your not getting 100% performance out of the 402. From what you wrote, it sounds that battery is defective. Like i said before a couple (2/10 or so?) of my batteries do this (completely shut off after a couple of hits), but to me its no big deal, as i can reach for a spare M40X or the 201... but i can see how it would be aggravating if this were my only unit. I'm pretty sure that Absolutely will help you resolve any issues that you're having. It also sounds like you've had some pretty good experiences with vaping (when your equipment was working properly) and if you see yourself continuing (i hope), I would probably order some spares. After my experience with the 402, My next order was in within the week, with enough parts to last at least 1-2 months without having to worry about anything. The best advice i can give to you is to make sure that you have enough spare batts/and atomizers to give yourself a "buffer" zone so that if equipment does fail, you don't have to rely on a shipment (and maybe fall back on analogs... for me anyway). Unfortunately I realize that these are not cheap, but after the initial investment, things do get cheaper. I would also write to Absolutely about the atomizer as well. While i do realize that these are "consumables" 1 failing in under two weeks is a little strange (or am i just lucky? knocking on wood) Fedor/Kaeo? any of your atomizer see such a short life span, especially with need's finicky battery (maybe because of the battery)?

Like rsngfrce said having the unit activate w/o any input is very strange. I've noticed that a few of my batteries will also stay on for half a second after a draw, but not any longer than this... certainly not enough time for me to pull off the cart and see the atomizer coil heating up.

Purr2Freya: dipping the wick will help prevent flooding into the atomizer, and subsequently prevent shorting a battery. The only problem that you might encounter now would be dry smoking, but this can occur w/ or w/o a cart anyway.

Vandal: sorry, I haven't read though the whole thread in a while...

thx ruuku. As always you are such a great support and full of info.

I did email absolutely last night and referred them to this thread to help me troubleshoot this problem.

The atomizer that glowed red, was in the cart, but pulled from my mouth. I do that to check and see if I have a dead battery when the thing is totally quirked out. The battery light was off, but the atomizer was lit up like xmas lights inside the cart. After a second or 2 with it still lit, I pulled the cart to see if something was burning in there and removed the battery. I've had it draining upside down in a glass since then. Kind of afraid to touch it.

Something is definitely short circuiting. I have the original 2 batteries and 3 atomizers. My order was like $82. from AEC's, so I thought I had enough to get me going and see if an e-cig would work to help me quit. I'm still doing the nicorette and smoking about 3-5 analogs a day.

I'm not giving up on the e-cig inspite of all the problems. I'll see what AEC will do to rectify the problem.

That centraltrade's site looks like a great deal on the M402 = just buy 10 kits for $140+15 shipping and have plenty of spare parts at $14. a kit, versus 39.99 +15 from AEC just to get an extra battery in the set.

Alot depends on AEC's response to the problem.

need_2quit: Was Absolutely ecigs able to help you with your problem? I'm sure they have replied to you by now.
10 sets for $140 is not the M402. It should be the M7 that comes with one battery and only USB charger (no wall charger). Shipping with Centraltrade is not $15. For 10 sets of starter kits, shipping should be around $69. You should still be able to get an extremely good price when you order 10 sets. However, Centraltrade seems to be having problems getting through customs. Not surprising since they sell only in bulk. Do some research if you wish to purchase from them. Also, they do not offer paypal anymore and customers must bear all Bank and Western Union charges, which can be quite high.

i think i may have finally burned through the primer, after 4 days of pretty heavy vaping. dunno what happened but all of a sudden there is NO harshness to the vapor any more. and i am ecstatic :D. the smoke juice actually tastes pretty good now that it's not all burn-y anymore. vaping JC's peach cobbler and it tastes pretty much like peach instead of 95% like burnt crust. i guess this is a lesson to those receiving 402's...don't get discouraged if it tastes like .... at first. just keep going! :D keeping my fingers crossed that it stays tasting this good.

yes they in a round about way are going to help. they thought maybe i was hitting the battery cut off and it was shutting down, but it's the flashing battery after it is dead as a door nail that is the frustration. Right now a battery has been charging for 4 hours = the light is still red. I finally took it off, thinking the indicator was bad on the charger, but after a few drags it's blinking again. Both my batteries are dead now, so I'm chomping on the nicorette gum tonight

yeah I realized that about central trade shipping after I posted lol. $15 was for another site. I think the ruyandirect or something.

still not a bad deal. I saw the western union thing and paypal is the boogeyman webpage on their website heheh. The thing that bothers me with all these chinese shippers is they don't guarantee it will make it through customs. I forget what AEC's policy is, but central trade's policy was your SOL if it doesn't make it thru = it's your dime. That would be unacceptable to me.

I'd like to see more USA suppliers and support them. My neighbor decided she'll only buy from USA suppliers and just pay more to have piece of mind and quick return for defective parts. She's definitely turned on to the M402

I will say, when this M402 vapes it's GREAT. When it's quirky it's the biggest royal pita I've ever dealt with. My spouse wonders why I haven't chucked it in the garbage. I just take the few great hits (about 4 before it craps out on vapor) and savor them.

Glad to know that they're gonna help. They are great to work with.

As far as my intel gathering shows, the only almost guaranteed way to receive ecigs from China is via EMS. However, EMS is not economical when sent in bulk. Therefore, bulk orders will usually be sent via DHL, UPS, Fedex, etc. That probably explains why many suppliers having problems but not us personal users.

Any Chinese supplier that guarantees customs clearance are either lying or digging their own graves. It is simply not possible. However, personal EMS packages should be almost guaranteed to arrive.

When even EMS packages are stopped, this would likely mean that ecigs have been officially banned and not even the slightest amounts or lucky packages can get through. When this happens, US suppliers would probably be permanently out of stock. Unless we start ordering parts separately and start making home brewed juices. But wouldn't that make us criminals? Just a thought....

I just recently ordered the Smoore 201 from Absolutely E-cigs.com because I read this post. Unfortunatley I had not yet read the Companies that consumers should be aware of section that is posted here. Thus begun my nightmare. First- it took them two weeks to ship the product after I was told 5 to seven days. Then when I received the product - it never worked properly and worked for less than 24 hours. After that, it completely stopped working. I immediately notified the company that there was a problem. They gave me troubleshooting suggestions- which was fine- but none of them worked. At this point it was clear that they sent me a faulty product. I was then informed that they wouldnt send any replacement parts or a replacement UNLESS I PLACED ANOTHER ORDER! What? I already have a product that doesnt work and cartridges I already paid for -with no way to smoke them and now you want me to place another order? Then they kept asking me what replacements parts I needed even though they admitted that they couldnt figure out what was wrong with it. Now they want me to send the product back at MY expense. So I paid $35 for the product, another $15 for initial shipping and they want me to pay another $15 in shipping to send it back. Then another $15 to have the working product shipped back to me! The shipping alone was going to cost more than the product! Then they offered to give me a twelve dollar refund for one of the batteries. Great-but I still dont have a working e-cig and I'm still out money. When I suggested that this seemed unfair and like a rip off- they became insulting and started accusing me of trying to commit fraud! Thats when it got ugly. Then, after I read the warning here I told them that they were listed as a company not to do business with and demanded a refund! After several more e-mails where they accused me of being a lier this was their final reply:

However, we have checked the forum. We searched the thread and the whole forum and it is not what you said at all. We had not made any list and the comments were merely questions. It is not as what you described at all. We should have expected this from you since you could not link us to any specific damaging post/ comments as you mentioned. We regret wasting the time. But we were happy to note many satisfied and happy comments about us. Once again, our decision on this matter seems justified.

We do not wish to continue this anymore. This will stop right here. We have refunded you as you wish and you had promised that we will not hear from you anymore.

We reserve the right to not reply to any of your similar emails after this as we have already done what you wish and you have expressed interest to end all communication with us.

Goodbye

So basically they are saying that this forums section on warning other people about their shotty products doesnt exist- and that I am a lier and a scam artist. I should also note that my bank HAS NOT confirmed any refund yet. I would also like to note that this e-mail was sent to me less than 5 minutes after I sent my last e-mail to them so I doubt they even looked at all.
I have all the e-mails that were sent both from myself and the company if the administrators or reviewers would like to see them or post them. So I would like to ask these questions:
How many complaints do you have to receive on a company for them to make your warning list?
Has anyone out there had a similiar experience with Absolutely E-cigs?

I have ordered through Eastmall and RuyanDirect. So far, both have had great customer service though it is still too early to say much else as I am waiting for arrival.

As for a US shipper. I received my first m401 through dietSmokes and it arrived very quickly and I am so far happy with it.

I just placed a small bulk order through Centraltrade 10 kits & some parts. I have a small window to cancel my order, they have not yet collected my western union payment. What are my odds of not making it through customs? I would have to pay shipping cost back to them minus 20%

Thank you- I love your pic by the way! I am new to this forum (obviously!). I wanted to switch to e-cigs because I have a two year old who cant tolerate any smoke. I didnt smoke in the house anyway, but the car and the smoke in my clothes is still a problem! Also, cigs are so expensive now! For the very short time that my e-cig worked i have to say I really liked it! I am hooked! But now I have nothing to smoke and no finances to buy another e-cig. ARGHHH!

if you are a M401 fan like myself, I really like the branded M401 stuff from myfreedomsmokes.com

I think his batteries are the best out of all the other suppliers. I can get at least 9 sec cutoff, as opposed to the regular 6-7sec. I also think his logo makes it look better than just the plain all black.

He has a new shipment of supplies coming on the 4/29. Also, he ships everything for FREE. Atomizers $7.95 & batteries $13.95. I stocked up on his atomizers when he was selling them for 6.95.
