prr2freya EMS has messed up with my cargo...I have been trying to track it down for more than a week now, and EMS China can not tell me where it is!

You probably already know this, but try entering your EMS tracking number at USPS.com. Some shipments seem to stop being tracked by EMS but then continue on USPS tracking.

Wow! The passthroughs have already reached NY! In Rochester.. They were in Hong Kong yesterday last I knew.. never seen anything like this. Rochester is only a few hours away... I may get them today. 3 days.. wow.

I feel a LOT better:) It was still a risk.. But if this exact same thing happens again... when I need more passthroughs... I'll risk it.. Anything else.. probably not at this time.

Also.. AEC has shipped my order from them.. And I will say they have good customer service and prompt replies to questions.

So sorry to hear your order is still missing.. That was a huge order:( Have you contacted the supplier?

Now the passthroughs are in East Syracuse. geezz... huryy up hurrry hurry!

prr2freya:

I told you...DHL is far better choice. I am glad for you!

Well, in my case, EMS does not know where is my cargo ! They are trying to track it down, but have been doing it for the last 3 days and not answers!

I will have to wait and see.

usb passthroughs just arrived!

not quite as much power as a fresh battery on my desktop usb... have to give a few primer puffs to heat up the atomizer... but then it works GREAT! Lots of vapor. I tried it on both my desktops.

I think I need a usb hub that generates a little more power.. maybe something that plugs in to the wall.

Eventually a powerpack of some sort.. maybe kenningston? But for now this will due just fine... I won't be buying anything else for awhile.

Janty is developing an m401 adapter for the JantyStick.. THAT will be my next major purchase once it is ready.

These little generic iphone chargers work well as a cheap, small and powerful source of usb power. They probably have power packs too.

DealExtreme: $3.23 Ultra-Mini 1000mA USB Power Adapter/Charger (100~240V AC)
Cool!

I just ordered these after searching the forums before seeing your post:

Amazon.com: Universal Apple iPod USB Charger Kit - USB Retractable Hotsync Cable - USB Home Travel Charger - USB 12V Cigarette Lighter Charger: Electronics

PS: Wall Charger has the following on it's label:

Input 100-240V AC 50-60Hz
Output: DC 5.0V 1000mA
+-5%

They come with a wall and a car charger and are $2.77 each.

I paid $11.48 with shipping for two of them.. One for me and one for my friend I have been putting together the perfect care package for. I want his e-cig experience to be as hassle free as possible. Nice thing about it.. I could afford $12 si I'm happy.. (though still broke) lol

@prr3freya - does the 401 passthrough have a manual switch/battery on it, or still works like an auto?

Does it have a battery inline? (I don't think it does)

No inline battery.. No LED.. (it's a hollowed out battery casing) No manual switch but it seems a lot less sensitive than the batteries. I blew on the part where the LED should be and the atty did not heat up. I blew on the atty and it didn't heat up. I take a draw and the atty heats up! To be safe and protect the atty(just in case) I will unplug the passthrough from my puter when unattended. The draw is nice... the vapor is excellent... Much lighter than the batteries... The cord is thick and the unit feels solid even though very light weight.

Depending on what I am doing on my puter... sometimes I have to do a few primer puffs to heat the atty up... other times with less stress on the system, works as good as a battery if not better on production. Once I get the USB wall adapter and have the power consistent, I am sure it will be perfect every time. Amazon ships pretty fast so I will update when it gets here. Not to mention there will be more power and I *think* this will be a powerhouse with vapor production. I already get great vapor and the "throat hit" is better than with the battery when my puter allots more power to the usb.

Ok.. After reading all 72 pages (in 3 days) as well as other reviews here at ECF, I purchased 2 M401 kits. Instead of going through AEC i went with LitecigUSA. I purchased 2 extra Pre-Filled Carts and 3 Juices. I was going to get some extra Attys and batts but the kits i got come with 2 Complete Cigs (and i didnt think the wife would like me getting extra stuff just yet). From what i can tell they should arrive either Friday or Saturday with the Free 2-3 day USPS priority shipping.

THANK YOU ALL for all the information provided. I will post a quick note on my thoughts once My E-Cigs arrive!

Oh and This will be my first E-Cig experience and i hope it will let drop drop the Analogs completely.

Hmm... no manual switch on the pass through is pretty much a deal breaker for me. Handsfree is nice when i want an analog replication (iow most of the time). But for true vaping bliss me thinks the manual is the way to go. Guess I'll just have to sacrifice one of my batts to the Mod God, and make my own.

BTW: Purr I believe that the switch in the PT is like the ones in the DSC401, which is a vacuum switch. It relies on the negative pressure during draw to activate.

Janty is in the process of making a 401 adapter for the JantyStick.. I am waiting for that and will be in manual bliss heaven:) You can use the JantyStick as a passthrough as well.. For now this will do ~_*

negative pressure? Maybe I should look in to getting a few of those batteries as well? I go see a live band every thursday night so that would come in handy. huh... seems better than the mic and they are interchangeable. But alas.. I am in the poor house till the middle of next month. Makes sense the passthrough would be that way as the passthrough was made from the DSE401 and not the m401. Cool beans!

Janty's making a 401 adapter for the JantyStick8-o?!?! Sweet... That only make me want to buy one more. So much for "saving" by vaping:lol:.
Right now I'm trying to build my own M201/M401 mod, but am waiting on some of my batteries to die before starting (anyone who wants to get rid of any dead M201/M401 batteries PM me please).
Yup... the pressure switch in the DSCs is why Kaeo bought his.

correct - I use the DSE401 batteries when I am going out to a club, they use the older pressure switch. You don't have to worry about them going off will loud noise, or blowing on them. They have a harder draw compared to the automatic switch M401 batteries. I would recommend have a spare or two of the DSE401 batteries. The only place that I know that sells them (esmokershop) is closed down temporary

Darn! I could use a couple of the DSE401 batts for Thursdays. I googled and can't find them either:(

Yeah.. I wasn't going to buy one even though I slobber over the review videos because I really don't like the thought of the recessed atomizers as I am a dipping ..... But I stalked the Jantystick threads and then asked if they would make one... he said first the 901, and then would work on others. (it started as just for 801 types).. well.. he just finished the 901 and m401 is next on the list!!! By the time it is ready, I just might be able to afford one.

If I kill a battery, I will give it to you. So far I have not even killed an atomizer (watch, now I will because I keep bragging about that)

edit:
I also stalk the mod threads and slobber over anything 401 there as well. I am afraid to make one myself!

Just wanted to update about my 401 experience. I have had it for 4 days now and it is getting better. I still find the hit from my 901 better, but the hit is getting closer. The thing that really made it better was putting a small straw in the cart.
It seems to take longer to break in then my 901 attys. each time i use it it gets better.
I really want this to come close to the hit my 901 has, because there is alot of things i prefer about this ecig. I like the atomizer style much more. You can control how much you drip. It also stays cleaner when topping off. With my 901 i have to wipe it off everytime.
I also like how it feels more like a real smoke. I prefer the rounded cart. And the black cart, silver batt, and gold atty is one nice loking ecig

it can take up to a week to break in a new atty. The two I have been using for a little over a month are just WONDERFUL! They do get better and better~_* I get a LOT of vapor with them now even without adding glycerin.. But with some glycerin, I sometimes can't see my monitor for a second. I can also blow smoke rings that look good and linger for a bit.
