Anyone using the bumblebee or scorpion atomizers from Parked?....just curious if the colors are painted or stickers?....if stickers...what's underneath...brass or silver?

I have the red banded(Scorpion) one from Park..I bought my starter kit from him. I would have bought more attys like this one when i ordered, but he was out of spares at the time.
It is my first atty and still kicking. it is not a sticker.. it is a thin solid plastic band(looks like) it replaces the brass/silver bands. Comparing it side by side with my gold band atty... when it finally dies I might take it apart.. but from the looks of it... a solid thin tube. The bands are just a separate piece. no tape. The gold and silver bands are also separate so easy to see how a customized band could be used.

I bought SheriD's off swap and should get here tomorrow or Friday....her kit had a bumble and a scorpion.....I like the gold look though...maybe my next atty will be gold

well, here i am, 402 still not working, and i ordered from electronic-cigz on april 24th...still don't have my replacements, liquid, or case. on may 5th he said he's mail out the case and atomizer the next day, because they wouldn't have the liquid i wanted in for awhile, and i just emailed him for a tracking number and he emailed back saying "we are currently out of stock on sample kits. we do have your other items in stock. we will be getting our juice in next week." that's what they said weeks ago.
ugh i'm so sad!
edit: okay just got another email saying there was a mixup, and they're sending my case and atomizer tomorrow. i appreciate them doing that, but this whole thing has been a bit of a pain, especially because i initially emailed him before placing my order to make sure they had what i wanted. oh well. i'm sorry for the vent LOL

Hey guys. I am yet another lurker that ended up buying the m401 from AEC thanks to this thread. I've had mine for about a month now.
The good is that I'm two weeks analog free, woo! Given the freedom to smoke/vape inside is what really sealed the deal for me. I'm lazy and don't like to interrupt my work to go outside. Also, I love the classy look of their wood grain batteries.
But lately I'm getting really frustrated with the lack of consistency from my e-cigs. I'll get four or five really amazing throat hits before I'm just blowing air. On a couple of my batteries I have to draw really hard to get it to respond, and sometimes I get nothing unless I blow on the LED to wake it up. They all worked great when I first got them, and the ones I'm using now are only a week old... is there some kind of battery maintenance or cleaning I should be doing?

The only maintenance that you need to be doing on the battery is cleaning the contacts (threaded areas on both the atomizer and the battery), and making sure they are gunk-free. A hard draw is somewhat hard to troubleshoot, is hard with just your bad batteries? or with every battery, just the bad ones don't fire up all of the time? If its consistently bad I would try doing these things:
1. Blow out your atomizer, re-prime with 2 drops liquid. Check if draw improves
2. Reseat inner cart/take out inner cart completely

ok well after hearing people talk about dipping with the 401 i gave it a try. It has made this ecig a whole new love for me. I take alot of road trips and dipping is so much easier then taking out a dropper and taking apart my 901. Plus its clean no need to have tissue all the time.

Germ - in addition to blowing the battery out from the screw end, you can try tapping it lightly on the table. sometimes it gets stuck on stupid and that's about the only thing that helps.
For hard draw, pull out your inner cart and swap the main cart with a q-tip to see if it is flooded. This e-cig is very quirky. Sometimes I get no draw like you described and I'll pull the cart and blow on the atomizer until it smokes and I seem to get a decent pull until it goes dry.

It seems like it's one battery that's being the main problem child, although of the four I own only one works really well. It kills me when I have to let that one recharge, lol. I blew out the atomizer as you described and swabbed the battery/atomizer contacts with alcohol which seemed to make the draw better overall, and I also tried need_2quit's suggestions, but I'm still having issues with this one battery not responding. Interesting, as I had this same problem with one in my first starter kit until it just stopped working altogether after a week and a half. Maybe they're just duds? I'm also worried that I may have dripped too much and it damaged the batteries, so I'm going to stick to dipping from here out and see if that improves things in the future.

I know I sound like a broken record... but as you have seen... dripping is bad bad bad! Messy, less control... with dipping the wick, I have had 0% leakage into the battery or the screws between batt and atty No dead atties after a month of heavy vaping between only two attys... I do drip on occasion... but I keep the unit facing sideways and let a drop out gently so it just touches the atty tip and let it absorb while still in contact with the dropper bottle tip... I don't let the drop fall into the atty, I let the atty suck the drop from the bottle tip... .. two drops max in a pinch... I never hold the atty up,,, sideways, tip tilted down towards ground. Not really dripping really, just letting the atty suck the drop.. but this only in a pinch.. rarely... i always carry a contact case to put drops in first then dip.
All is very clean. This is why I want to stay away from recessed atomizers.. and why I love the 401 so much... the exposed atty tip and dipping... so clean.. beautiful vape.. no carts needed just dip... about a cigs worth per dip (15 good puffs) takes what it needs and no more.. no topping off carts and possibly overfilling.. no mess no fuss... just dip the tip and what a GREAT experience

Try contacting AEC... they might (probably) be able to replace the batteries. I have gotten the connector end almost completely soaked with liquid (dripping... I know, I know Purr...), and all of my batteries are still in good working order.
If you do drip, make sure that your putting no more than 3-4 drops onto the atomizer bridge. When i teach "vaping 101 w/ your new 401" I tell my friends to drip a drop on one end of the bridge, then drag the droplet onto the other side of the atomizer bridge. this serves two purposes, 1. to ensure that the wick is fully saturated, and 2. to give the bridge time to wick before applying another drop.
On another note: It seems like AEC still haven't replaced their bottles yet, but then again, I have more than the 100mls ordered (probably sitting on 120 mls from AEC) so I'm still a happy camper. And again, 7 days from China to HI.

I'm just adding to the heap of praises here, but after getting my 901 a few weeks ago, I had put the 401 away. I liked the nice easy draw and loads of vapor from the 901...when everything was just right. After having 3 901 batteries short out in one day and only the touchy ones from bestecig left, I pulled out the 401. What I found was that the harder draw was still there, but that the throat hit was better and vapor production was almost on par with the 901. The bonus was surprisingly delivered by the tiny cartridge; no more half full cartridges no longer wicking, liquid in my mouth, leaks in the pocket as in the 901.
I carry an e-cig with me all day and take a few drags when I can. The M401 does the job consitently every time.

Has anyone else had issues with the steel 401 batteries from Ruyan? I got 4 of them and so far the 3 that I've used won't hold a charge more than 1 1/2 hours ( I usually get 3 1/2-4 from my other 401's) .
They're also getting WAY hot...
Is it a model issue or a batch issue do ya think? Weird that so far all of them are doing the same thing.

Is the battery getting way hot or the atomizer? If its the battery I would contact Ruyan about it since in my experience the battery's shouldn't be getting hot. I believe I read somewhere on the forum that Lithium batteries getting hot is a bad thing. If its the atomizer I think the battery is putting out more power to the atomizer than is usual for the M401, which would explain the short battery life as well.

Just curious, how much does vapor production affect throat hit? I hear some people say the more vapor, the harder the throat hit, and others say that cutting it with VG reduces throat hit. It's all about that "cigarette feeling" for me, but if adding some VG won't change that too much I'd like to give it a try.
On a sidenote, I contacted AEC about my problem and they're sending two replacement batteries with my next order. They mentioned dripping may have been the problem, so I guess that settles that for me!
the atty on my 401 gets pretty toasty, but your batts should last longer than that, if i do a full charge, i get well over a full day out of them (through work and into the eve at home) pretty close to 10 hours...
Mine are from Ruyan too (matte black models on everything)... they do have a guarantee, might want to check on it (i think all you have to pay is shipping from what i saw)...
