I've been using a straightened paper clip to push out the insert of my M401 carts.

Yesterday I was using a new cart and had pushed the paper clip through the insert creating a small hole. The insert was really tight in the cart. It is still functional but the chances of getting juice in my mouth now is much greater.

How do you deal with a cart's insert that is really tight in the cart without puncturing the insert?

I'm not sure who you purchased from. But my M401 inner carts are glued to the bottom. I can see a white flaky residue. Also the batting is glued down. Out of the 20 carts that I have, I punched a hole in 2 of them. Kind of glad I did, or I would have never realized that the cart in fact is not 2 pieces, but three.

So, If yours too has been glued...then it'll probably be hit or miss.

Wow dedmon.. Sorry to hear that. I think it was just an isolated incident. I replaced the cart with a new one, from the same supplier, and everything seems to be fine. A bit tight, but definitely not glued. I'd be concerned about inhaling the glue..just a thought.
Yeah, I've cleaned them thoroughly and replaced all batting with new poly. I think it was a futile attempt to force me to use them as disposable carts. The glue is pretty weak, so I'm sure it wasn't cement glue.
