A friend of mine gave me a old usb charger which I stripped the battery connector off to use for another mod. I happened to find the little case that held the connector tonight so I used it to make a passthrough. I had to use a different cable because the one that came with it was too short. I used the led hole for my switch but I'm gonna have to move it for a couple of reasons. First, it blocks the hole where the cable comes in so I can't get it in there good enough to hold the cable securely. More importantly, I think moving it up will make it more comfortable to use. I was able to track this charger down here. It's a M401 charger.

The usb wiring is straight through so it's 5v (but low amps I think). The switch is an under powered .5 amp @ 125v. I've been wanting to test the low amp switches without protection just to see if they would work. So far, so good.

Depending on what you've got it plugged into will depend on the amperage going through it. If plugged into a PC (not recommended at all) you'll get about 500mA; a standard charging USB-AC wart will get you between 400-800mA; and a PT designed USB-AC wart (the smart choice) will get you 1500-2000mA (1.5-2A.)

I think it's pretty cool. Good use for the 401 :)
Lot's of us probably have a few of those chargers (even the eGo charger if you replace the connector) that has seen better days.

The cordless one would be tiny, leave the USB connector in place, strip the board of parts, your 1/2 amp switch is fine if easy to replace. Tiny Pocket Mod. All it needs is a 2 or 3 foot USB extension cord ($2 form ChinaBay).
