hello everyone,
After days and days of reading differnent models.I.e-510,kr808,mods,etc. I think I have decided to try the 401 again.

my question is
has the model improvred? my first kit had a very hard draw, and the battery was very erratic.atomizer died quickly after a couple of weeks.
some of the reviews here state its the best(overall no mods) e cig . I do llike length and width of it.plus new colors coming if i am not mistaken..
can someone help me with this. much thanks rob

I love my 401, course it's the only one I've tried, but it suits me. I'm finding I like it on the pass-thru a lot better than the auto batteries. Fedor suggested that I try the manual batteries.

Went to Shawn's site to order some and it seems he's all sold out of the manual batteries. So Shawn.... any idea when you're going to have some in stock? Would prefer to buy from you then elsewhere.

Rob ok i first bought the M401 then KR808 then Greencig. When i first got the KR808 and the Greencig i put down my M401 and m402 and vaped my 2 new toys. I am very hgappy with it. Then took out my M 401 again and use it every day, I do dipping mostly. i use contack lens case and its great. great vapor and ok TH, actually teh best TH i get is with the Greencig then KR808 then M401. But the 401 is a keeper and its a great quality e cig. Plus they are coming out with so many new things for it. did ya know that the M401 is going to go to 2 piece and use cartomizers. whyen that will happen i dont know but its still in poroduction. as far as the attys i started vaping and useing my M401 around sept and still have my original 3 attys. I clean them once a week iun boiling water for 7 min then put VG on them. I think the M401 puts a lot of other e cigs to shame. also if you jave a SAmoore version m series they are made the best. and like i said Smoore is coming out with new things for it. PCC. not the pcc they have out now thats a clone version but the smoore version. larger cartridges instead of only maxing out at 7 drops in a cart we will be able to use 12 13. and again like i said Smoore is going to go with Cartomizers. So imo i would keep it for now but that is up to u. I will just keep the 3 i have now and no more. Good luck in your decision

I started with the Mxxx series, then tried a 901, KR808D-1, and automatic (clone) 510. I'm not at all impressed with cartomizers, I love the 901 except for a couple of little things, I love the 510 except it has no flavor, the KR808D-1 with a 901 atty is possibly the best ecig I've tried, but it's a bit too long a cig for my liking.

So what it comes down to is the good old M401 is really the best and has nothing "wrong" with it. It's a harder draw than the others, but it's not a hard draw it's just less super easy than say the 510 or 901. It doesn't leak, you get flavor, tons of vapor as long as you have a good atomizer, the batteries last a reasonably long time and don't take hours and hours to charge, it's around the size of a regular cigarette but has the three lengths to choose from. I'm thinking when my others wear out I won't bother replacing them and just stick with the M series (though I may have to try that M702 eventually.)

thanks for the replys.I will probably try it again.
on a side note, anyone know if the xl carts for the 401 will produce an even harder draw?or maybe an easier one.
The draw should be about the same since air is drawn around the inner cartridge (which will be longer in the XL version). The newer 401's have 4 ports between the atty and the battery. I would guess this provides a better draw than the old 2-hole models. Dipping the 401 atty in liquid really does provide several very nice full flavored heavy vapor hits. Especially with the manual battery.
