mad vapes 5 volt box mod help

I just built my 5 volt box mod kit from mad vapes.Followed the insturctions from their web site it works but when i turn on the master swicth it go on. The monentry swicth is not working it's on all the time. I checked the wiring over and over even had a co worker check it over.All is rite as conpared to other ones on their site.Any help would be great thanks.

Did you simply check the switch itself with your meter for continuity? None, until you press it.

Thanks WillyB yes I did well I disconected the neg side of the swicth and it still did it.It seems like maybe the regualater is bad. I don't know.

I would also check to make sure you dont have any components where the solder is touching another row, or if you did not solder the wire with the insulation touching the PCB board, another wire could be touching it.

If I remember correctly, one lead of the switch goes to pin 1 and the other lead of the switch goes to pin 4. Is that how you have it?
I know they have a diagram on the video. What stumped me was the LED, since their video did not include this part, but I ended up figuring it out by disecting another box mod.

Sometimes I find that the switch does not close all the way when you take your thumb off of it, which is why I always turn the master switch off after each vape.

Godzilla NICE BASS. Yeah that is how I have it. I think what happened is my iron broke so I tried using a gun and got the reg too hot and fried it.That's all I can think of now.Checked everything too close and to many times to be anything eles. But thank you guys for the help.

It definitely helps to have a nice very pointy iron, and when you solder that thing, just be deliberate about it, but dont spend too much time on each pin. To be safe, you can do one, and wait for it to cool off. Order yourself another kit, and an extra regulator and switch. they are cheap enough, and then you will have 2.

If you dont feel like fixing it, send it to me and I will fix it for you. I have all the parts I need. PM me if you want.

Oh, and that was my best bass ever. 10lbs +. If she is still alive, she is probably 18 lbs by now. That was a few years ago. My buddy had to reach down and untangle it from a submerged log. It pulled hard. What a rush. Now I have toddlers, so the boat is getting spider webs.

My first mod drove me nuts. I soldered everything perfectly and cleanly, double checked the circuit etc. but when I wen to fire it up, no joy. Turned out that the + end of the battery wasn't quite touching the lead. Seems that the plastic on the MV case keeps holds back the battery shoulder back just enough to prevent contact. Personally I blame the battery makers, in this case Ultrafire, for inconsistent + end length tolerances; some bats work fine while others are too short. I now add a few loops of copper wire on all + leads because I don't want to cut any plastic. hope that helps.

I just completed my first 5v box, I've made 4 of em so far. The Led should connect from V-out pin 2 to ground pin 3 so it turn is on with the switch. The only problem I had was that I filed the 510 connector's air holes down for better flow and if you don't clean out the shavings really well when you thread in the atty it can make a closed circuit that's bypassing the switch. I made it a side slot horn button instead of the middle by chiseling off the plastic terminal holder ..... Then the circuit board can rest all the way to the bottom. I know it's nothing fancy too look at but I'm still proud of myself.

You're right it doesn't make sense, b/c the connector is hooked up to V-out and ground... but I swear when the connector shorts the regulator starts getting really hot right away and the button stops operating.
