Made a mistake...

So mixed up a 5ml batch of wizard labs kona. Mixed it at 2% flavoring, .1ml to 4.9ml nic mix.

I don't have a drip tip so what i usually do is empty my rba, and just drip a drop or two on the wick. Works pretty good and never had any issues.

BUT...

I cannot get this god awful kona taste off my wick... I have a mix of jamaican rum and bavarian cream that is a pretty smooth flavor that i've been using for several days and i can't even taste it... All i taste is KONA... the devil fluid. I had to use mouthwash just to get the flavor out of my mouth, tasted like I had coffee beans for teeth.

Any one have an recommendations for kicking a flavor from a SS wick? I've washed the rba wick and filled the tank with water but it's still there. Really not wanting to have to make a new wick as this one is only two weeks old but if that is the only way so be it. I can't handle this taste anymore.

Try vaping some PGA mixed with PG in your RBA. If anyhting it will help dilute/burn off the leftover kona.

As a noob who couldn't figure out how to clean a clearomizer 2 days ago, I'm answering with a question:

Wouldn't you rinse well with hot water then rinse with a little vodka (maybe even soak for a few minutes)?

pull the wick and soak it in straight pg or vg, then light it. Do this a few times, if the flavor is still present, time to make a new wick I'd disassemble and clean all the parts if it came down to making a new wick, just to make sure the devil juice residue is completely rinsed and doesn't taint the new wick.

Kona can be a devil.

I'd recommend making a new wick and coil while soaking the rest of the device in PGA. The old coil and wick should be double bagged and marked biohazard. Then double bag it again and mark it as medical sharps. A voodoo ceremony may also be in order.
