So I finally got my kit from diyflavorshack for christmas and found myself with time to give it a go today. I decided to start simple with a single flavor. Target was a 6mg liquid at around 50/50 vg/pg.

1.25ml 48mg PG nic
1.75ml Pomegranate flavoring
3.75ml VG
3.25ml PG
2 drops of sweetener.

I didn't steep it because I was excited to try it, and it turned out pretty good. I was worried about how complicated it would be based on some of the things I read, but I found the process to be straight forward with the use of an online calculator. The only issue I ran into was sucking up the VG. Apparently it is too thick to suck up into a syringe easily so I had to use a dropper to put it into a measuring thing.

I'm vaping away on it and really pleased with the result.

Congratulations on your first mix and happy new year.

As far as sucking up VG. If your syringes are luer lock (twist off needles) remove the needle when sucking up vg it makes it a lot easier. You can also warm the VG by sitting the bottle in hot tap water for about 10 minutes. This will thin the VG.

Agree with dannyv45, hot water bath for your VG will thin it out. I have 500ml bottles of vg and will heat water up on the stove to just below boiling then bring it off the heat and set the bottle down in there for about 3-5 minutes, swirling occasionally. But that's only if I have to make a bunch of high VG juices I need for dripping. I make them in 4-5 bottle batches since I go through it so fast.

If it's just one 30ml bottle I just use a 14ga blunt tip on a 10ml syringe. Not the most comfortable, but works.
