here's an american manufacturer that makes as durable, well machined device as any on the market. i own a shotgun mod and the quality is astounding. hits just as hard as my copper mods thanks to the silver plated copper pins. designed and built by vaporists. emit vapors.

I am just thinking the Philippine mods must be some "mystery" metal. all my brass and copper has like leopard spots not really rust. the American ones all darkened and got a patina but not this weird measles stuff.

plus I just tried one with silver pins and copper body. i then picked up a us made mod with brass pins and copper body. the us one hits way harder even though it has more voltage drop on the meter. i wonder how they pulled that off. apparently there is r&d too. they don't just go build them and see what they get. i am not insulting other countries mods. i like them too. i am just saying the American ones so far have been the best ones as far as function. as far as form other countries mods are pretty nice. that's why i like them.

I just ordered a Shotgun Mod from OKC Vapes about 20 mins ago. I'd been debating the Shotgun or a Nemesis for some time, and finally got a "back in stock" email from VapeRev (for the Nemesis) this morning. I decided to buy the Nemesis, but in less than 8 hrs, they were sold out again. I'm done chasing unicorns. I bought the Shotgun, and I have a feeling it'll be a better decision in the long run.

I swear I am not insulting pinoy mods and I will buy more. in fact probably tomorrow. other than the measles they get there is another issue. I have 3 of jd. the magnets are so crunchy and they are so wobbly unlocked. like the leaning tower. even pbusardo said this about a jd he reviewed. they are still super cool. I just don't see how a us made spring switch is so much smoother. is that just how magnets are? I think the fecit has a magnet and it is fine but that is a tiny side fire so I don't know if it counts. anyway I can make it smoother I would love them. I did not want to start another thread and hog this forum.

Don't forget the XXIX or Surfrider by Bay City Vapor, another US company from SoCal. The XXIX is grade 101 copper w/ copper contacts w/ a hybrid topcap, eliminating the need for a pin. The Surfrider can either come as a SS or Naval brass version.

Also the Pegasus mod by Olympus Creations is another US company.

The Caesura by Aethertech is also another US company.

Don't get me wrong. I love my fellow Pinoys and pretty much all the mods I own are Pinoys other than the XXIX which is my first American mod.

Did I miss it, or did seriously no one mention Super T MAnufacturing?

Admit, they're mods aren't for everyone... ive been on the fence for quite some time.. But one thing that is not questionable, is their ability to manufacture an exquisite device.

And leaving the design choices and restrictions he places on his mods off the table... ZEN mods, are very sharp looking, and if you can get a satisfying vape using the device the way he wants you to use it, you will likely love the damn things. I bought a couple Zens very early on in my vaping career(?), and before I ever held anything from Greece, I held the Zen mods to a high regard in terms of manufacturing ability. I still do, I just dont vape them.

Oh and I can't forget my newest steeze.. REOs mods. Totally loving this bottom feeder for on the go vaping.. ANd as far as well made.. yeah, this thing can take a beating.

If you ask me, there is some great US made stuff out there, but right now, IMO, the best mods are coming out of Greece.

I prefer American made products in general, especially clothing, tools and electronics(when available). I think it's great to see all of these American companies on the rise. The only piece of vaping equipment that I currently own that is not made in the US is a Kayfun lite+, but even with that I prefer to use the SOV glass kits. In my household, we have a brass Surefire #improof king, Element Ember Mod, Tree of Life 18650 tube, Brass Cæsura, BCV XXIX on order, 2 TOBHs, and 1 of each: Stillare, Tugboat and Patriot. There is so much American made, top quality stuff being produced, and in most cases, by regular people(as opposed to gigantic corporations), that it is not necessary for me to buy imported goods. I really like how 'underground' these products/companies are, and I love the fact that I can get my vaping hardware made in the US.
