I went to Saffire Vapor in the 'Boro today and picked up an eGo-T 1000mAh battery, which came with a USB charging cable, and a Vision Victory clearomizer. The tank leaked a bit and gurgled at first. I cleaned up everything and blew out any juice that was in the tube. So far, it's been a good experience. I opted for the Vision Victory over the Protank because of the price; $16 vs. $24, which was a no-brainer on my budget. The Vision Victory came with three 2.8 ohm coils and a filling tube. So back to the leaking and gurgling thing... I'm not sure what that was all about. Maybe because it's new? Ideas anyone?

The gurgling is your juice flooding the shaft and your draw is causing bubbles. It is possible you are using a higher pg content which makes the liquid thin. Judging by the ohms you are using and on an ego-t which I regulated 3.3 volts....you probably do not have the watts you need to adequately vape such a high resistance. I use 2.8 ohms on my 5v passthrough....but they barely hit on mechanical mods...I suggest lower ohms to solve the issue

The Johnson-Creek juice I'm vaping is supposed to be 100% VG, at least there no mention of PG on the bottle. Can the eGo-T be regulated, or did I mis-read your reply?

I see. Vg juice from Jc is a good juice to start. Some ego-t batteries with the USB charger port on them can be switches between voltages and possibly some of the solid caps. I love ego t batteries. Typically they are regulated to 3.3volts as an ego product. Does your power button not only have the five click off but change colors too? If it vg is solid blue or white led light chances are it is set at 3.3 . Don't get me wrong, you made a good choice. I mainly have concerns that the majority of the issues you have are because of the resistance being that high. As for gurgling...the same problem of juice entering the air tube apply. This could be the leaking issue as well. Is there any way u could pick up say 1.8ohm heads that should produce well on the egot?

The battery does have the 5-click turn on/off thing and the LED is white. I'll pick up some 1.8 ohm coils and see what difference that makes. Thanks m8!

Gurgling happens to me alot. I am also relatively new to the vaping game, but I started out with the variable volatge/wattage mods (ie. vamo and the smoktech sid). I'm only about 3 weeks into it, but I'm definitely addicted to this world of vaping. The gurgling to me seems to come when I'm using a certain ohm coil with a certain mixture of juice (50/50, 60/40, etc), also when the juice level is getting low (on a bottom coil clearomizer, ie protank), as well as when the battery voltage is getting low.... I know your questions have already been answered, but I just thought I'd throw this out there... btw, if you're using a cartomizer and it's flooding, use a q-tip and sop the top of the filler material to alleviate the over-saturation. That seems to work for me as I'm new to cartomizers, especially if you're still "breaking it in", if it's new in other words. Anyways, I'm gonna keep on vapin', and I hope you do too! :)

Hi MJ, you need lower resistance coils with that battery try 1.8 ohms if you can get them .You can get a protank from fastech .com for 12 bucks and the lower resistance coils to go with it.
What effect will the lower resistance coils have on throat hit, cuz I'm not into hard throat hits. Something else I've noticed regarding the gurgling... if I start to take a toot before I hit the button to heat up the coil, I get a drop or two of liquid on top of the battery. So I've started hitting the button a sec or two before I inhale and that's helped a lot. It kinda makes sense to me anyway.

regarding a standard ego, a lower ohm coil will give you warmer and slightly more vapor. both of which give you a stronger throat hit. technically bottom coil devices are a little cooler in general because the vapor has to travel up a longer tube.

yeh and if you draw before hitting the button you are just pulling juice in before coils have enough time to heat up and "vaporize" it. This is actually not a bad thing for some other atomizers.

Referencing the original post in this thread... the Vision Victory tank I bought a little over 2-months ago bit the dust today. It started leaking where the plastic body of the tank is attached to the base. No sign of cracks, just leaking where those 2-pieces are joined. I had not put any "tank buster" juice in it; i.e. citrus or cinnamon. I had juice in my pocket, sticky fingers and on my cell phone. It was not a pleasant experience. The store no longer carries that tank, for good reason it would seem, and they only have a 30-day warranty. However, they were decent enough to knock 25% off a ProTank II. So if anyone is considering the Vision Victory, think twice about it. Even though it has a 5ml capacity, it's not worth it in the long run.
