I have nine 6 ml polypropylene tanks and ten 3 ml polypropylene tanks, but I retired all the 6 ml tanks. I'm tired of plastic. The edges were getting cracked around the base and the draw was starting to get airy. I'm keeping the ten 3 ml tanks for my pipe mod. I use it less, so I'm not so worried about the tanks cracking or the o-rings getting crusty and gunked up (something I've noticed with all my Smok plastic dct tanks).

No other point to this post other than to say I made the switch to all pyrex carto tanks. I have 1 IBtank, another one on the way, and five Smok pyrex tanks. I feel like I made the right decision. Plastic was great at the time, but it's almost a year in and they were giving up the ghost.

Happy I made the choice. I see two, three, maybe four more IBTanks in my future, though.

:thumb: +1 on IBTanked. Currently I have five 22mm with variously colored anodized aluminum caps, and six 19 mm with the now discontinued colored acrylic end caps. And lastly, one is a 19mm custom hand-painted Rio Carnival tank with the stainless steel caps painted in blue and silver sparkles.

At this point in their evolution, the only thing better than carto tanks are RDAs and some, not all of the RBAs - but with Ikenvape cartos, and the current production of Boge cartos... it gets closer all the time.

I suspect, at some point... a year or two down the line, we may find that all our drippers and RBAs are on the shelf, and all our mechs and APVs are topped with carto tanks... and of those, IBT, Phiniac, Ikenvape and Boge will continue to supply the best of the best.

I've been using Ikenvape cartos in IBTanked cartotanks for well over a year. They are my primary delivery device. Dependable with excellent flavor and vapor production. Take up very little time to set up.

The current generation of clearomizers are bridging the gap to cartotanks. I happen to really enjoy the Innokin iClear 30 clearos almost as much as my IBTanks. I've done the RBA thing. When working optimally they are the best I've tried yet, but they can be undependable, require major tinkering & tweaking, and are not for everyone. Mine have sat unused for a month because they need new wicks and coils and I haven't been motivated to spend the hour it will take me to do new setups.

My wife and daughter like the iClear 16s and 30s, and they are certainly better flavor delivery devices than Kanger BCCs (that should invoke a ....storm), but for some reason, I think a nice fresh carto is better.
Perhaps I don't give the iClears enough of a chance. The last time I tried was with a coconut sample... not the best flavor or my favorite vape - and when I think about it, I may be tending to lump "the baby in with the bathwater"... so to speak. :p

I'll give 'em another chance eventually.... when I empty the 3 KFLs, 2 Nimbus' and 4 IBTs sitting on my desk.

glass is good till it breaks, I switched to ss tanks long ago
I admit that I've had two glass tanks shatter from falling a couple of feet onto a tile floor, but those tanks weren't made by IBTanked but from another vendor. I've even managed to get a hairline crack in my Phiniac.

My IBTanked's have experienced similar accidents and gotten nary a crack nor a chip. OCD designs his tanks so that the brunt of the impact is to the end cap and not the glass tube, which probably is the difference. OCD is quite an innovator, and definitely knows his stuff. He's the reason that such a small family-run business has risen to be the leader in pyrex glass tanks. I believe he recently said that they have sold over 1000 tanks in the last year.

Hey Baditude, did you mean 10,000? 1,000 seams awfully low. Anyways, I'm up to 5 IBTanked setups. I've busted 2 tubes thus far. One went flying off my lap, I wasn't surprised when it broke. The other fell off my lap landed on the end cap, breaking out a big chip from the end. But, I wasn't using washers on that one. If I had been, I doubt it would've broke. Needless to say, I ordered some washers for it. That's only 2 broken tubes since Dec. At only $5 a tube, I don't mind that kind of life span.

I too love the vape from an RDA, in fact I'm using my Igo-W right now. But, Like Baditude I don't use it a lot, because I don't like tinkering.

You're correct, Ed. I totally misread what OCD said. IBTanked has sold about 1000 tanks THIS SUMMER to CHINA. Something about the Chinese needed something to put on top of their Provari's. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/ibtanked/479474-ibtanked-inc.html#post10970602

It still blows me away that y'all sell e-cig products TO China. Don't know why, but that just strikes me as pretty freakin' awesome!
OCD said:
They had to have something to pair with the Provari. We just shipped our third order to them. That makes about a thousand tanks this summer. We are hopeful that things will pick up in that market, our customer over there is very motivated.
