So ducky, I have your package ready to go. Unfortunately our post office no longer leaves the lobby open for after hours DIY so it'll have to go out Monday.

I like sexy. But there is a line. Carl's Jr. Has all those ads with Paris Hilton Et al eating burgers lasciviously. Does not make me want a burger. Its just lewd LOL. So, if I wanna ogle vape gear I don't want a magazine with a half naked girl and a drip tip that looks like a penis on the cover. Just sayin'.

I agree with you! I have argued a few times that some things can feel degrading to women... and I am not a person who gets upset about every time I see women used as a sex symbol... but there is a line!

True. I think the problem is with that privilege men (generalization) don't have any idea what it is like to be a woman and I use transgender women as an example. Those women get to have a moment of pure shame when they get it and realize how they were part of the problem as men. Having said that, society has oppressed men into being the oppressors and women oppress one another all the damn time. Sorry I will get off my soap box.

That is so true! I sometimes get so furious when I go to websites and every ad on the sides of the site are porn ads or half dressed women trying to get you to go to a website. Or when the ad will say "your wife will hate this website"...I always think are freakin kidding me!?!!!?! Its like some people think that womens only purpose is to use to draw people in.... I dunno.... and I am not like a porn hater or anything, but sometimes seeing it everywhere enough is enough.

That's why rape culture exists. Men are told they can't control themselves and women are always doing something to invite it.

So freakin true! I watched a documentary a couple years ago, I cannot remember what it was called, but it was pretty much about why people do bad things. One of the stories was about this woman who was raped and almost died. The man responsible for it was caught, and he seriously told the cops that she asked for it. So, of course the cops were like how did she ask for to be raped and almost beat to death. Apparently she smiled at him and said hi when he said hello to her as she walked by him.
This guy was a real creeper piece of ----!
What a load of crap! How do people like this come to be this way?
My cousin's boyfriend and father of her boy cheated on her, and she of course went to her mom for advice. You will never guess what her Mom told her..... she said "Boys will be boys" WHAT?!? I almost cried when my little cousin told me that! Of course I told her that was not correct, and does not in No way justify someone cheating. I still just think WOW when I think about that. It made me mad.

So the sad reality is people who don't defend women, like moms whose daughters are raped, etc., are almost always also victims. When nobody is there to believe them or they can't share their shame they reenact that on those after them. Not saying mom was assaulted but it os so common. I've seen this with every client I've ever had. Those victims who are blamed are blamed by other victims.

Don't you wish we could just wiggle our noses and fix things??? That we could see people as...dare I say it...people? That we would not see anyone as black, white, yellow, brown, male, female, weak, strong, less than, heterosexual, homosexual, bi-sexual, neighbor or not from around here but just as a person? A whole boatload of issues would disappear if we could!!

Yes, but that might also make us robots and stepford people with only one emotion. It actually creeps me out to think of a "perfect" world. You can't appreciate pure joy without knowing absolute pain intimately.

I'm not advocating perfect, I agree with you if we were all alike it would be awfully boring. What I am talking about is how to some we become objects or get put into boxes based on little or no fact. I think there will always differences. I just want us to be seen as people first. :)

Ooooh! Yeah, that! Totally agree. I have to do that so precisely as a therapist. Not all clients are good people with problems. Some are rotten people, rapists. Abusers, etc. Then you must view them in their totality. And you ALWAYS find a wounded child in there. If I didn't put my judgements aside when meeting someone (I get an intake packet sometimes filled out with a general reason why they are coming and sometimes it is court ordered you see) I can actually harm my client with those judgements both in not doing right by them because of the way I'm not aware that I'm treating them and by just not caring to help. It is an odd but beautiful thing to have a brain that is always trying to see deeper with people. Annoying to some lol.

Don't you hate those days where you find yourself exhausted after nearly coming down with a cold. Yesterday and the day before I was certain I was going to be sick... But pulled through... Today I had 0 energy and I'm betting it's the "recovery" time from my body fighting off what could have been a cold.

The great weather we are having can't be helping

 I wanna see an unsexy magazine cover  the average vaping cover ;)

Here's who should be on the cover. I love this picture so much I seriously considered it as my fb profile. He seems like such a nice guy... like your favorite uncle.
Imagine him saying:
"I don't always vape, but when I do..."

By the way, this is part of a set of pictures taken by some really good photographer at NYC vapefest (or vapemeet...or whatever it was. It says on the link, I think the photos might've been for the article in Digital Trends that featured vaping several months ago). The pics are fun to browse through, anyway.

I just read the last several pages of this thread and am sorry I missed so much--I got here just in time to catch the topic changing to the weather, lol... And on that matter, let me put in my two cents: 75 degrees?! Brrrr!! I slept with a hoodie on last night. My blood is officially thin.

But I want to at least register how amazed and impressed (tho not surprised) I am by all the thoughtful, caring, insightful & honest engaging here lately. Ditto what dykey and others have said about this group being awesome. Vapers really are the most interesting people :) At least us girls... :p

And PS: Ducky and AuntieMame, you know my thoughts are with you. ❤

So, my puppy is so rambunctious that it is just insane! He is so freakin cute, but he has so much energy. I wait all day for his few little naps so I can just get my other animal chores and house work done. When he naps or is sleepy he is so sweet. The breeders did say that Siberian Husky puppies are more rambunctious than alot of other breeds....along with while smiling: "Do not give up and if you cannot handle him please bring him back to us" lol He tends to want to chew on hands alot. Lol I can honestly say I cannot wait until he gets over his biting and his fear of being alone.
I still love him bunches though! I just love on him when hes sleeping :)

I have not got to build coils, make eliquid, or much vape stuff since he came :(
