I ordered these batteries, and let one charge for what felt like the majority of the day and the light on the charger still red, it does turn green when fully charged correct? I took it off the charger as I was leaving the house, I never trust new batteries on chargers while I'm out.

I always charge batts in a pan.

Nope. The original charger from electronicstix turned green but way too soon and you had to leave the batt on the charger for several more hours after the green light. The next charger they got and the one madvapes carries never turn green. leave a dead batt on them for 5 to 6 hours and it's charged.

the center solder blob is made to mate with a battery nipple, the spring for a wide flat battery end. It may work reversed as the atty don't care about polarity, but it's not how it was designed....... :)
For kicks I mounted batt upside down.

As expected the switch is bypassed and atty fires until atty is removed.

I don't advise mounting batt neg side up.

I just heated the center blob of solder and added more to raise it above the traces. I also used electrical tape to cover the remaining traces. The reason to have the positive side down for me was if the battery ever vents it does it from the positive side pointing towards the vent holes.

I don't trust the electrical tape will stay in position. A more durable insulator would make me feel better.

I soldered a small washer in the center because the solder tends to squish.

They do vent on positive end.

JMHO.

Six, I just read this yesterday after I ordered my RS. I got a message from a friend of mine who is using ego's and they all fried at the same time. He works for a cabinet maker and repairs machines for them. He's told me he busted a couple of batts from them hitting the ground of the shop. I passed on your review so he knows how durable these things are. I think this mod might be the blue collar, working man mod for sometime to come!
