Hate to post, but I try to work with vendors before I do. I recently bought a variable volt gripper which was faulty from madvapes. It was obviously faulty, the stem where the 501 went in was literally shaky when trying to vape. I dont know about everyone, but when an electric cig has shaky parts I get a little frightened of it. I would hate to vape and have a VVC explode on me....

I put in a ticket with madvapes and was told I would have to pay the cost to send the unit back. My thoughts are why should I? madvapes should Quality Check items before sent out. This was a very obvious problem.

Contacted my credit card company and put a hold on the charge. Mad Vapes sent me a return package which I shipped the item back to them. I contacted my credit card company and stated that I am working with the vendor to resolve the issue and to pay them accordingly. Have not heard a word from Mad Vapes and the ticket I submitted has dissappeared (34596)

Just sharing my experience with Madvapes, its not a good one.

just to let you know, its not madvapes, I now have 3 of the vv grippers (wife dropped hers more than a few times, then mine as well...) and all three (from 2 different venders BTW) had loose 510 connectors ie they rattled when I put a tank on them.

This is a pretty easy fix if you dont mind "modding" it a little bit. Take a thin flat tip pry open the box, and use either JB Weld around the connector or use a hot glue gun around the connector.

Ive had nothing but good experiences with madvapes including some issues that came up. Hope you get your issue resolved.

That's like asking walmart to pay you for the gas you used to return their chinese made crap.

If madvapes was the manufacturer they may have a QC department. They are a re-seller, and the amount they turn over has to be insane.
If you want your order shipped within a month of ordering then they don't have time to QC everything that comes off the boat.

I just bought a $30 P.O.S. rebuildable genesis style atomozer (not from MV) and I wanna throw it through a wall. The hole in it is so small it produces no vapor.
It's like sucking on McD's milkshake in the winter. I don't expect the vendor to take it back because some manufacturer across the pond is a friggin idiot. I took my chance spending $30 and I got what I paid for...A really nice paperweight until I can find a bit small enough to drill out the air hole. Yeah, that's gonna happen...I can't even fit a paperclip in that hole. /end rant

I know this isn't a MV issue, but what have you got there exactly? When it comes to the size of the airhole and draw preferences, they are all over the place and your milkshake might be another's tightly rolled cuban cigar. Really the only solution for someone making one is to start with a small hole and then the end user can drill it out as they see fit. Starting large then half the people find it too airy and have to seal the hole and drill a second which looks awful. You've probably got 1/32" and would be happier with something close to 1/16", bits are 2 for ~$1.

I have an AGA Tiamat from Discount Vapers.
There is hardly any airflow through it. I can't see how anyone would like it. I get more vapor from a 3 ohm carto on an ego battery. I built a good 1.7 ohm coil on a stainless mesh wick (1st try) and without the cap on it, it produces a cr@p-ton of vapor. Next time I am at Ace Hardware, I'll have to look for a tiny drill bit, or 7 because I'll break a few.

way off topic:
I wonder when MV will get into selling the Rebuildamizers?

It's got a 1mm hole. I've seen devices that start as small as .8mm and people are happy with it. Personally I like 1.5mm. Enlarging the hole is easier than you think and carbide bits will make quick work of it. On there site they address the concern and are even coming out with replacement caps if you'd rather go that route.

I think I might get to the hardware store to buy some bits this weekend. Good to know replacement caps might be available in case I screw up. Thanks for the info!
