ok guys need some help

things to know b4 the question
1. My 14500 batts. that i had waiting for the mod were thrown away by my wife accidentally

2. I have tried to test if it works or not using two (new)AA Ni-Mh batteries but no luck voltage indicator screen will not even turn on much less fire with an atty (also tried getting the indicator screen to turn on with out atty by just changing voltage from the lowest possible setting to the highest and everything in between) TO SUM IT UP it was fail :(

So my questions are
1. If the vv box mod was working should it have turned on with the normal AA Ni-Mh batteries?
2. What other way can i test it(that is not super complicated)?
3.Should i just give up and send it to madvapes asap(warranty expires in on the 17 February)?

(if i posted in wrong section i apologize)

well thats something new to me I didnt know that electricity didnt flow if it didnt have the right voltage  i was pretty sure that a total of 3volts (according toothfairy) was atleast sufficient to overcome the resistance in the mod itself and atleast power the indicator screen :( aww mayne if anyone else got something to add it would be great :D

So you don't have the correct batteries, and the device isn't working, and you're wondering if you should send it back?

Is that correct? Did I miss something?
